[Jae Lim]
I woke up from a dreamless sleep wondering when I passed out. Before I could even wonder where I was, I needed to deal with the pounding in my head. It felt like someone was squeezing my head and moving made it worse. Groaning, I turned my head over to my left and found Valeriya sleeping. I stretched out my left arm, ignoring the pain that shot up my arm, and smacked her. When she didn't wake up, I did it again.
"God, you old woman, wake up," I groaned, my head throbbing in protest as I mumbled.
She finally turned over, her hair messy. She squinted at me and rubbed her eyes. "Oh, you're up."
"Yeah, no shit. Can I get some fuckin' Advil?"
"I don't have fuckin' Advil." She grumbled, shoving me away. "Go drink water and eat something. Fuck off."
I whacked her again with the last of my efforts. "God, how do you not have Advil. You...you crazy woman."
"Well, this woman picked your blackout drunk ass from the club." She pointed a single finger towards me before turning around to her side of the bed. "So go and drink at least four bottles of water and get some sustenance in your body and for the love of God, let me rest."
I rolled my eyes. "Stingy bitch." I got out of bed, ignoring the obnoxious pounding in my head, and head towards her bathroom.
I washed the sleepiness away, getting rid of my greasy feeling hair under the faucet. I grabbed the closest towel and dried my hair, draping the towel over my shoulders to catch the dripping water. I grabbed a paper on the kitchen countertop, looking at all the food you could call for room service. I dialed them up, calling for all sorts of food for my grumbling stomach. I didn't realize how early it was until I looked at the clock and found it at just fifteen minutes past seven. I went around the place, opening up the curtains that closed off the ceiling to floor glass sliding doors in the common area and the windows in the bedroom.
Three knocks sounded from the door and I walked over to the door, looking through the peephole before opening the door. I grabbed the cart and dismissed the man who brought me the food in uniform.
"Valeriya," I called from the kitchen, already downing two bottles of water. It seemed that I was much more dehydrated than I thought I was. "Come here and eat."
She mumbled incoherently from her pillow, probably hoping that I would take that as a no and move on to leave her alone.
"We have a lot of business to get down to today. I've got to go back to my old place and we'll be going to base. I might find noona there." I tempted her.
She didn't grumble but she did get up slowly from where she laid, taking her face out from her pillow to look at me. "Yunnie?"
"Yes, if you come here and get ready early so we can finish quickly and go looking for her."
She scrambled up and headed right to the floor table in the common area set up for us to eat at. I had mainly ordered light foods since I knew that we both didn't eat too much for breakfast. We shared a platter of fruits alongside the other noodle dishes.
"If you've finished eating, get ready for the day. We're going to make some distance today." I got up from the table, placing finished dishes back onto the cart. "I'm going to borrow some of your clothes too. I'll catch you up on what's happening after we shower."
When we both finished showering, we were both sitting in front of her pile of luggage in our undergarments. She was wearing an untied robe over herself. I was so used to seeing her undressed or just walking around in the bare minimum I couldn't bring myself to care. Especially not when she would do nothing but flaunt it off even more after I complained. Sure, it's great that you love yourself but keep me out of it, crazy hag.
