Back In Time
Third POV
Perseus kneeled before Creon, to which Creon smiled happily at.
"Rise, Heracles."
Perseus rose, meeting the king's smiling face.
"For saving me in battle and for aiding us in war, I reward thee my daughter, Megara, for thy marriage."
Perseus smiled and nodded, looking towards Megara who was smiling right back at him.
"Thank thee, milord." Perseus bowed.
"Heracles, thank thee for aiding and saving me in war. I will leave thee and Megara to get acquainted with each other."
And with that, Creon left the room along with al of his guards, probably back to his own chambers. Perseus walked up to Megara and held out his hand. "To the palace gardens, darling?"
Megara nodded happily and took his hand. They both went outside in the fresh air, sunlight beaming down on them. Multiple flowers of different colors were spread out everywhere, almost like a meadow. Red roses lined the edges, and leafy plants were spaced neatly by the well-kept and trimmed bushes. Perseus sat down on the meadow, Megara right next to him.
"What is thy favorite activity, darling?" asked Perseus.
"Well, I love to be outside in the fresh air, surrounded by all of these beautiful flowers. And I love to ride the horses out into the cities and farms where I meet all of the lovely citizens of Thebes."
Righttttt, they can get acquainted by themselves, heh heh, no worries.
A Few Months Later
"King Creon, I know it's hard, but I must leave." Perseus tried to reason.
Creon didn't like it. "And what of my daughter?" he said, barely containing his rage.
"She will come with me. We will visit. We just need some time to ourselves, and I thought I'd take her everywhere, travel with her everywhere, show her all of Greece and more."
"How do I know she will be safe?"
"When thy see thy first child." Perseus smiled.
Creon looked at him in shock. Then slowly a smile crept up on his face. "I wilt be a grandfather?!"
Perseus nodded slowly, and Creon rushed up to him and pulled him into a hug for a response. After some intense squeezing, Creon pulled back and looked at Perseus with a mix of pride and respect in his eyes.
"Heracles, thou have my blessing with thee, though I know thee not need it. Keep my daughter safe."
"Of course Thy Majesty." Perseus bowed and left the room. He quickly walked to his chambers, where Megara was waiting. She smiled brightly at him before grabbing his hand and walking out with him. They made their way past the red carpeted stairs, curtains glittering in the sunlight, and torches lighting up the hallways outside the palace where their "vehicle" awaited them.
Forward in Time...
I walked forward, hand-in-hand with my wife. Her soft brown hair shone in the sunlight. Her eyes seemed to be a mix of green and blue, more green like the nature surrounding us. She smiled at me, her smile wider than the universe. I caressed her hand and stroked it, bringing it up to my face so I could kiss the back of her hand. She giggled as I did so, the sound of laughter radiating from her and like always, made me laugh too. I set her hand back down gently and pulled her closer to me, taking another chance to kiss her. My hands wrapped around her waist, and she nuzzled her nose against my cheek. I brought my other hand up and stroked the back of her head, her curls bouncing up as my hand went down her hair length.
