Back in time...
Third POV
Perseus cradled his newborns with Megara. They had traveled for months now, taking the time to stop whenever Megara was feeling sick with the triplets she delivered. They were all boys. Their names were Therimacus, Deicoon, and Creontiades. The last one was obvious of it's origin, Megara's father. Perseus and Megara were on their way back to King Creon so he could see his grandchildren.
Meanwhile, Perseus was in deep thought as he looked at his sons. He had to plan it out perfectly so Hera wouldn't suspect that Heracles was actually Perseus. Perseus thought that he could drive himself mad, but that would be suspicious considering he knew Hera was going to do that. He knew that somewhere along the way home Hera would drive him mad. Except he has automatic resistance to godly powers that inflict pain on him. If he tried to drive himself mad, he wouldn't be able to get out of his own madness. Just then, Perseus' mind lit up. He found a plan.
Perseus quickly set his dons down in their cradles and went to find Megara in their temporary camp. He went outside and met the fresh air of the mountains, a place he had been to before and had decided to take Megara there. Perseus shuffled around the camps, past all of the guards and army men they had taken with them and found Megara on the edge of the mountain cliff. He shoved the royal guards way as he called to her.
"Megara, darling, there thou are!"
Megara turned around smiling, and Perseus inwardly cringed at calling her darling. He belonged to a select few people and that was it. Megara came up and pecked him on the lips, Perseus responding in the same way.
"What do thee need?"
Perseus looked around before he started to cough loudly. Two royal guards immediately came up.
"Sir, are thou okay?"
Perseus coughed some more, falling into Megara's ready arms. "Darling, I am not feeling well. Perhaps-cough-we could-cough- visit the nearest physician?"
"Go get the royal physician!" yelled Megara.
"Princess, the royal physician went to get herbs! He isn't here!" One guard said, helping Megara with a floundering Perseus.
"Darling,-cough- there is a physician nearby. I have been here before, remember? He's down by the hill. Perhaps we should go-cough-there?" Perseus fell to the ground dramatically.
Four guards came running with a sort of stretcher which they hauled Perseus on. They quickly scurried back to the tent, Megara on their heels. They set Perseus down as Megara came up to see him.
"Heracles, worry not. I shall get him to come here."
Megara gave a guard a look, and he understood. He quickly ran out of the tent, and yells filled the air as he started to shout orders. Perseus coughed some more, and shook violently. Megara tried to hold him steady, but he kept shaking even more. All of a sudden, he stopped. His eyes closed. His breathing slowed. Megara lay her head on his chest and felt his heart rate going down.
"HURRY!" She yelled and sobbed into Perseus's chest.
. . .
A man with a long beard rushed into the room and looked at Perseus. Although, he couldn't focus with Megara shaking his arm ferociously and begging him to save her husband. The man took a deep breath and spoke.
"Princess, I cannot heal him if thou aren't calm. Thou must be calm so I may heal him."
Megara stopped, but small sniffles escaped her mouth. She went over to the other side of the bed and lay by Perseus. Megara put a hand over one of his ankles and sniffled some more.
