Forward in Time

Third POV

Perseus cackled with a glint of madness in his eyes. He had found the capital of Chaos at last. And he was completely ready. He grabbed the back of Chaos's neck with a strong grip, forcing her forward.

Chaos smiled a small smile at the sight that met her. Things had shut down. No people were in sight, which meant that the city had previously prepared an evacuation. She immediately knew only one of her Elite could do this, so a small light of hope flickered on and stayed on inside of her the rest of the journey to her palace.

She was dragged forward to her castle along with Bianca and Artemis, both of whom were struggling to no avail.

The walk was short; Perseus, with renewed effort and energy, hurried on in a doubled pace. His ex-camper generals pushed with even more strength in hopes to catch up with their lord, who had now reached the castle and had stepped inside.

However, as he stepped into the night black castle, he was met with an unexpected sight.

Annabeth and Luke, weapons drawn, dressed in full battle armor. Behind them, a group of fighters who had stayed behind.

"How nice of you to come, Perseus," said Luke.

Meanwhile....

"We need to go now," said Zoe as she flashed in the Throne Room, not bothering to apologize a now-infuriated Zeus.

Zeus glared at the girl. "Nightstar, if you could let me—"

"No, I cannot. Perseus is attacking now. If we have any chances to at least hold him off, then now is the chance. After all, Luke and Annabeth are down there."

"Alone?" inquired Athena, lines of worry etched on her face.

Zoe nodded. "I imagine so. Luke must've evacuated the city by now. They are probably either fighting him or have lost."

"Lost?!"  exclaimed Hermes.

Zoe gave him a pointed look. "Yes. Do not make me repeat myself—"

"Well then we must go!" cried Athena as she moved to flash out, but Zoe grabbed her arm.

Athena closed her mouth and took the pain of Zoe's vice-like grip without screaming as she was forced back down into her chair.

"I thought you were the wisdom goddess," hissed Zoe. "You will follow my orders or fade not doing so."

Zeus lifted his pointer finger. "Actually—"

Zoe snapped her fingers. A large, heavy rope crashed on top of Zeus and pinned his arm to his throne as it tied itself around the god's wrist. Zeus let out a roar, whether it was an angry or pained one, no one wanted to know.

Zoe, pleased with herself, undid the rope around Zeus. She let go of Athena as well, who was smart enough to stay in her throne.

"Great. Hera and Demeter will be needed in the Abyss as well as Athena and Ares. Zeus, Poseidon, Hestia, and Hades, you four should stay here. It's critically important you keep your domains in check, and Hestia, as always, is the Last Olympian. Dionysus and Hermes will be required here. Apollo, you should come. This is your sister. I allowed four Elite to stay here."

At her word, five others flashed in. It was Dakota, Castor, Lee, Michael, and Ethan.

"They have their orders," continued Zoe. "The Mechanic and Enchantress have already flashed down to aid Luke and Annabeth. Now, if you don't mind, move, you lazy gods."
