Back in Time

Third POV

Percy shifted in his sleep.

He had nightmares every night. Each one was about Zoe. It was a struggle for him. He kept up the facade that he was happy. Inside, he was drowning in misery. He felt helpless. He felt lost. He lost Rachel. He lost Zoe.

And his stomach sunk deeper as he had a different dream, but more vivid. Immediately, he knew what was going on.

"You wouldn't dare," hissed Rachel.

Perseus grinned wickedly. "Oh Rachel Elizabeth, dare I would. I have her address. Heracles should arrive any moment with Ariadne's string as a way back, because the mortal would be killed. Meanwhile, I shall go fetch her and lead her to believe that she is the only one who can save her son."

Rachel struggled after him, but he merely looked away and walked out of Olympia.

Perseus snapped his fingers, arriving outside an apartment complex. He stepped inside while whistling.

Percy awoke before he could find out much else.

One thing was certain, however.

He wouldn't be there to save her.

Forward in Time

Third POV

Jason had recruited more spies.

He went to Camp Jupiter. There, he managed to get three spies. It was better than nothing, after all. They would inform him of anything going on. The best part was that one of them was in the Senate. Another had influence as a demigod of Mars who was the second-most respected god here and was a very experienced legionnaire. The last was a friend of Hazel and Frank, and they were both praetors. His plan was succeeding.

Jason had also managed to get two more kids at Camp Half-Blood. They didn't have much influence nor were they advanced in many skills, but that could easily be fixed. Plus, they were more on the shy side, being able to slip in and out of places without anyone knowing. They were the perfect, stealthy types of people he needed.

Jason walked forward towards the Zeus Cabin, kicking a rock repeatedly.

Was Rhea needed here anymore? She had come so he could use her as a way to get more information. But now he had spies. He had no reason to stay at this weird camp anymore, especially not her.

That brought him to thinking of Heracles and Perseus. They should have gotten the two Oracles by now. And once they did, they would easily be able to control Fate from there. Of course, they also needed to get some sacrifices.

Meanwhile...

"Let me go!" She screamed again.

She felt fear gnawing at her. Her mind was scattered, in a state of panic. She shuddered as she felt cold breezes come and go, leaving her skin crawling with goosebumps. She struggled only to be slapped on the face, hard.

"Shut up. If you want to live, you'll do what we say." The first man said.

It was at this moment she knew that they were not mortal. She was inclined to give them her money, whatever they wanted. But they were immortal, as far as she could tell. They had powers, and suspicious speed and strength, not to mention the weapons as well as they unsheathed them. So she stopped struggling against her bindings as she was suspended into in the air.
