Forward in Time
Third POV
Hades glared at Heracles as the former demigod was chained up. Hades would keep an eye on him and have him shackled right in front of his throne. He had all sorts of special materials for the dead and living, separately, if he ever needed it. And today, he used his special chains that wouldn't pass through ghosts for Heracles.
Suddenly, a Fury flew in.
"Lord Hades," said Alecto while bowing.
Hades raised an eyebrow. "Alecto, what do you need? "
Alecto raised her head slightly. "Lord Hades, Athena is here and wishes to enter the Underworld."
Hades nodded, concealing his mild shock and curiosity. It had been a long time since an Olympian came to the Underworld.
As Alecto disappeared, Athena flashed in. She nodded slightly towards Hades. "Lord Hades. Peresphone," she addressed both deities.
Hades, enjoying the fact that he didn't have to really bow considering he was in his own domain and she didn't rule anything, nodded back at her. Not that he had to bow to anyone anyway.
"What do you need, Athena?" Hades boomed.
"I wish to speak with Heracles."
"You may."
"Shove your so-called wisdom up your ass, Athena, because I won't be answering any of your questions." Heracles spat.
Hades looked amused, while Athena's aura flared in anger.
"How dare you?! I could easily-"
Heracles rolled his eyes and interrupted her. "I don't care what you can do. When my brother, Perseus, the one you trusted so much completes the ceremony, I promise you that he will come and save me, just watch. We brothers by more than blood stick by each other." He said smugly, with a sharp edge to his voice. He was clearly not under control of his emotions.
Athena took a step back.
Hades raised an eyebrow and spoke playfully. "What happened, Athena? Did he get the better of you in a simple repartee conversation?"
Athena looked as confused as ever. Slowly, realization crossed her face, and she suddenly gasped.
"What?" asked Hades impatiently.
Athena looked at him with wide-eyes, then back at Heracles. "You said brother. You called Perseus your brother. Brother by more than blood, which means you are closely related. But Percy Jackson and you had different parents, unless the Perseus you are talking about is the original one related through Zeus."
Hades looked at her with utter shock. "Go call a meeting. We shall tell the others."
Athena flashed into the Throne Room, followed closely by Hades and Heracles.
Zeus was already there, clutching his armrests in deep thought. He looked up, and narrowed his eyes in suspicion. "What were you two doing together?"
Athena turned completely gold, while Hades laughed at her mortified expression. Of course, he wouldn't mind banging up the wisdom goddess had she not been a sworn maiden goddess and was protected by her father.
"Father, NO! We weren't— I'm a— I can't— We wouldn't— maiden goddess— completely horrifying—" she stammered.
Zeus leaned back, staring at Hades with a murderous expression.
