Forgotten Friendships

Right now I was sitting crouched down on the floor in my room, dressing Namjoon's bruised hand.

Namjoon: Look I didn't mean t-

Yn: What, you didn't mean to what! Punch him? Please Namjoon just save it!

Namjoon: Oh really and are we forgetting that you're married and you let another guy kiss you?!

Yn: Says the one with a girlfriend!

Silence, he couldn't say another word because he knew I was right.

Yn: What exactly were you thinking...

Namjoon: I don't know, all I do know is that I saw him kiss you and in that moment my mind wasn't working, I felt something that was so weird and it wasn't good. I was angry that you let him kiss you.

I looked up into his eyes and there was sadness. We stayed like that for a while until the bathroom door flung open.

Taehyung: Hey sorry I think I got some blood on your floor.

Yn: Huh, oh it's fine. I'll clean it up, Tae I think it would be better if you stayed here. You already told the driver to leave earlier so I don't want you driving alone with a broken nose.

Taehyung: Are you sure, I mean I wouldn't want to impose.

Yn: No not at all, just stay here.

Namjoon: *cough* Well I think as Taehyung is our guest he should get his own room, I'll sleep here.

Taehyung: No I'm fine really, I don't take up much space, I'll sleep here.

Namjoon: No, I insist you have your own room.

Taehyung: Rock,paper, scissors?

Namjoon: Agreed.

~25 minutes later~

Namjoon: HOW WOULD PAPER OVERTAKE A DAMN ROCK!

Taehyung: IT'S THE RULES, WHY PLAY THE GAME IF YOU DON'T KNOW HOW!

Namjoon: I'M JUST SAYING IF I WERE TO THROW A ROCK AT YOU RIGHT NOW AND YOU ONLY HAD A PIECE OF PAPER, WHO DO YOU THINK WOULD WIN!?

Taehyung: THE PAPER!

Namjoon: YOU WANNA TEST THAT OUT? YN PASS ME A ROCK.

Taehyung: OH YOU WANNA GO, LET'S GO!

Namjoon: BRING IT ON!

Taehyung: OH IT IS BEING BRUNG!

Yn: *sigh* I'm honestly starting to reevaluate my life choices. YOU TWO ENOUGH! I will be taking the other room, you two suffer in here! Good bye.

I went out of the room whilst shutting the door. Those two will be the end of my sanity!

Namjoon POV

Namjoon: See what you caused, now she's angry at us.

Taehyung: Me? You were the one who doesn't know how to play the game!

Namjoon: It doesn't make sense!

Taehyung: YOU'R- YOU'RE HEIGHT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE! HOW ARE YOU SO TALL.

Namjoon: Uhmm, thank you?

Taehyung: I'm working on my comebacks,leave me alone!

Namjoon: I'll be taking the bed.

Taehyung: No the bed is mine!

~short time skip~

They were both settled down, Taehyung on the sleeper couch and Namjoon on the bed. The room was silent as the moon's light infiltrated the dark room through the curtains.

Namjoon: What happened to us? We all used to be so close.

Taehyung: I don't know...

Namjoon: Well you must, you were the one that distanced yourself without a word.

Taehyung turned on the couch and sighed pretending to sleep as those words hung in the air. What did happen to them? Was their friendship really that brittle.

Taehyung: You knew that I liked her first.

Namjoon: Taehyung, it's not like that...

Taehyung: Then what's it like? I confessed to Naeun but she chose YOU. And you wanna know what the best part is, it's that I didn't give a shit that she did, however the part that hurt was that YOU distanced yourself from me as you two spent more time together. I lost my best friend, my brother, the only person who was with me through everything! Now everytime I look at you I feel disgusted, I see a shadow of the boy I once knew. So don't come around blaming this on me! This was all you.

Namjoon: ...

Taehyung: What, cat got your tongue? *scoff* pathetic.

Namjoon: I felt guilty knowing that you also liked her, I just couldn't face you so I decided to hide. I'm sorry,I wish I could go back...

Namjoon said that in a whisper so quiet that it was inaudible for Taehyung to hear, So he would never know. The animosity between them only grew but through that Namjoon saw his friend bacause for the first time in years Taehyung opened up to him and told him what was wrong. He didn't hear all of Taehyung's harsh words but rather he saw hope, hope that one day Taehyung would look at him with something other than hatred.
