Chapter 47

June 20th Titans Tower 12:45
Jon and Damian were arriving for the Graduation ceremony and took their seats beside Helena and Conor in the crowd

"Hey guys" Jon said

"Hey you two" Helena replied

"Helena, Father wants us to go back to the Manor after the ceremony, apparently Pennyworth is in a bad way" Damian said

"Okay, when did he call you he hasn't contacted me" Helena said

"Only twenty minutes ago" Damian replied

"Okay may I grab your attention" Dick said into a microphone

Everyone's attention turned towards the stage where Dick was standing with the new heroes standing behind him as well as his teammates standing on either side of him. The ceremony went by perfectly each of the teens graduated and were now ready to go and do actual hero work. As soon as possible Damian left with Helena leaving Jon, Conor and the kids behind as they raced off to the Manor

"Damian do you have a bad feeling" Helena asked

"What do you mean" Damian asked keeping his eyes on the road

"I just have this strange feeling in my stomach that something bad is going to happen" Helena said

"Well I do to but I don't want to let it in because that means facing the fact that Pennyworth won't make it to the end of the summer in his condition" Damian said

"I don't want to face that either but what if that's the case" Helena asked

"Then we give him what he gave us, all of our care, attention and support" Damian replied

"Should we not have brought our kids to see him then?" Helena asked

"Jon is going come with ours after the party you could message Conor to bring Lynn" Damian said

"I'll do that" Helena said

After another twenty minutes in the car Damian pulled up to Wayne Manor, the two siblings jumped out of the car and headed into the Manor where they were greeted by Bruce and Selina in the front room

"You made it, sorry for pulling you away from the graduation" Bruce said

"Don't worry about it, where is he" Helena asked

"He's upstairs, the doctor just left he isn't doing the best" Selina said tearing up

"Come on let's go" Damian said

They made their way upstairs to Alfred's room where he was lying on his bed hooked up to machines monitoring his heart and some breathing apparatus

"Alfred" Helena said

"Mistress Helena and Master Damian, how lovely to see you" Alfred said

"How are you feeling Pennyworth" Damian asked

"I've felt better, how was the graduation ceremony" Alfred asked

"It was great but we skipped the party to come see you" Helena said

"You shouldn't have, but I am glad to see you" Alfred said

"Well the kids are coming around later to see you and I think they're excited to show off what they learnt" Damian laughed

"And I shall be happy to see them, now I must get up and do some work" Alfred said

"Alfred no" Helena said

"Pennyworth you are in no condition to be up and moving you must stay in bed and rest understand, myself and Helena will do whatever you need and if you need anything we will get it" Damian said
