mattia's pov

couple days later... 

its been a few weeks since we seen avery. we have been doing everything to find her but we have no trace of where she is. 

" mattia , micheals here," kairi says walking into the kitchen. 

" why?" i say. 

" i called him," alejandro answers and i glare at him. 

" he said you needed help with something , but he didnt tell me what exactly," micheal explains. 

" come on mattia , he can probably help," kairi says. " we know you want to save her , this can be your best shot."

" fine." i groan . " a few weeks ago , someone saw alejandro kill someone. so we held them hostage. took them to the ball and got took by elijah."

" why would elijah-? dont tell me your hostage was avery?" he says.

great , he knows her. 

" why the hell would you let him take her?" he shouts. " do you know that amount of crazy shit he would do to her."

" that's why i called you," alejandro yells back . " to help find her , for god knows whatt he has done to her already." 

" so you want my help to find her , so you can hold her hostage again?" he scoofs. " your out of your fucking mind."

" listen to me micheal , i like her alright. i need to find her now and atleast know she is alive." i shout . " so if you arent gonna help , you can escort yourself out."

" alright alright , do any of you have her phone?" he rolls his eyes. 

" wait , the tracker." kairi exclaims. " i remember you told me to put a tracker on her heels , so if she tried to escape we could find her again."

" holy shot dude , pull it up on the computer." alejandro says. 

i little part of me gets excited because i can finally be reunited with avery. i don't want to get my hopes up because i dont know if she is alive or dead. 

we all walk to the computer room and kairi search's up the tracker. 

" damn it , the signal is down." kairi says . 

" fuck" i yell . 

" hold on , look," alejandro points out. " you see that red dot , its her. if you re-posture the router , you get a clear view of where she could possibly be." 

" yeah , let me do something real quick." kairi says and starts typing something . im really not the tech of the group its kairi so he knows what he is doing. 

" boom baby , we found her." he smiles . " why the hell is she so far though?"

" how far?" i ask. 

" about 1 hour away," he looks up at me . 

" we killing the son of a bitch," alejandro says. 

" not so fast , you cant just ambush them right now," micheal says. " you have to play smart , go when unexpected."

" he is right mattia," kairi says. " we have atleast wait off a bit , give us some time to train and gather some more panthers."

" alright then , get to it," i order . " i have someone to call"

avery's pov

" please stopp" i cry . 

elijah has his gang beating me up all week and i cant fight back because i feel to weak. i thought mattia would have found me by now but now im just running out of hope. 

" then tell mattia , i want my product," elijah says . 

these two men continue to punch and kick me . my vision has gone blurry from all the tears so i cant even see. 

" alright thats enough , give her a break," he shouts and they stop. 

i hear the door of the basement slam shut and i fight to get up . i crawled over to the corner and started sobbing . every single bone in my body hurts , i haven't been feed proper food .

i had bruises all over my stomach from the kicking. my face wasn't bruised that bad , but there were some there. i feel disgusting and bloody.

im really praying that mattia doesn't give up on finding me.

mattia's pov

" hey mar" i dap mar up. 

" what's up man," he says . " where you been hiding?"

i called mar over to ask if he could help me with this mission. mar has been so loyal to me ever since we agreed on peace between our mafias.

" i wasn't hiding , but i need to ask you a favor," i tell him. " it really important"

" alright hit me with it," he sits on the couch. 

" i need your help , taking something from elijah," i say. 

" im in already, but what exactly?" he ask.

" avery , he took her at the ball . we  finally found her location we just need some more people to help."

" alright , just tell me the time and place . me and my crew would be ready."

" thank you man , i appreciate it." i say . 

" cant wait to kill that son of a bitch," mar cheered while walking out.

i hope avery didnt give up on me yet. i promised i was gonna come back to her thats exactly what im gonna do. elijah isnt gonna do shit beacuse his head is mine. if i find out he or any of his men laid a finger on her we are gonna have some serious problems. 

interrupting mu thoughts there was a knock on the door. 

i opened and rolled my eyes . " what do you want isabelle?" 

" i want you to tell me why you have been ignoring my calls and text?" she says.

" obviously because i dont want to talk to you," i tell her. " why did you come to my house?"

" i came to see if you were dead, you haven't showed up to the office and everyone is freaking out." 

" i need a break alright and stop touching me," i shrug her off of me . " it was a one time thing"

" are you breaking up with me ?" she ask

" we were never together , now please get out of my house," i tell her . " go or ill have my body gaurds escort you out."

" fine , just so you know avery hasnt been showing up to work," she rolls her eyes. " camila wanted me to tell you."

" okay bye," i wave her out .
