kelsey's POV

i stormed out of the house and ran down the road, leaving my car behind. i ran for about half a mile to make myself tired instead of angry. i could feel Kali rising to the surface and i didn't want to to anything that i'd regret. But, my run didn't work. i was still angry as when i left my house. i could hear poundng of footsteps coming up behind me and i knoew it was my dad.

"Sweetheart, calm down, everythings going to be fine" He tried to comfort me and wrap his arm around my shoulder but i swiftly shrugged it off and stepped back.

"No it won't, my own mother left me because she hates what we are" My voice cracked at the end and wasn't the only that cracked.

i felt tingling in my bones and heard slight cracking noises. "Get in the forrest, quick!" dad ordered. i sprinted into the woods and jumped over a fallen tree trunk. When i landed, i had fur and four paws. my clothes shredded over the ground.

Kali purred at the sensatin of being aa wolf again, but she was still pissed. i felt her take over and start sprinting further into the woods. As Kali zoomed me through the woods, i could feel everything.

The crunch of the newly dropped leaves as our paws pounded against the forrest floor. The trees towered above me wherever i turned.

i heard the thump thump thump of my paws slamming against the ground and the pounding of my racing heart.

we'd finally stopped, when we reached a small stream. i plopped my rump down in front of the water and bent down to take a gulp of water. Snap.

i whipped my head up and immediately stood in a fighting stance. But i instanty relaxed when i smelt who it was. mate. Lucas stood there in his wolf form. He was slightly bigger than i was and as fully black with piercing baby blue eyes.

i sat back down as Lucas walked towards me, sat beside me and nudged his nose against mine, giving it a lick.

Baby, i felt your pain. what's happened? he spoke through our mind-link that werewolves apparently have.

My mum left. i got home and all of her stuff was gone. i found this letter and it said that she guessed that i was a werewolf like my dad, so she left as she didn't want to live with a monster like her father. Lucas growled, sat closer, and pushed his head into my neck, comforting me.

Do you want to stay at mine tonight?

I brought you some clothes to change into, they're just behind the tree.

Thank you. i walked behind the tree that Lucas pointed at, and found the clothes he mentioned.

i thought back to the last time i had to shift back and what Lucas taught me. i thought about my human fingers and toes. my hands instead of paws and skin instead of fur. A tingling sensation covered my body and when i opened my eyes i was on my hands and knees in human form.

i pulled on the knickers and bra, with the dark skinny jeans, tank top and a guys jumper that i knew was Lucas's from the smell.

When i returned back to the lake, Lucas was already dressed in jeans and a t-shirt. "Are you alright?" he asked with concern in his eyes. i couldn't help but uncontrollably burst into tears.

i immediately felt, strong warm arms wrap around me and lift me up against a hard chest. i snaked my arms around his neck and burried my face into his shoulder, my eyes pouring with tears.

As he carried me through the woods back to his house, i felt his thumb gently stroking my back as he whispered in my ear that things were going to be ok, and that he would protect and look after me.

When my dad said, that things were going to be ok, i didn't believe him, but when Lucas promised it, i believed and trusted him. i felt safe with him.

WELL DUH, HE'S OUR MATE OF COURSE. She always has to ruin the moment doesn't she. i saw a house out of the corner of my eye, and realised it was Lucas's house.

"Kelsey! Kelsey are you alright?" i looked towards the familar voice and saw Rachel with Sarah, Abbey and Carrie running towards us. My brows scrunched in confusion as to why they were here, but when i caught a wiff from the wind in their direction, i realised they were werewolves as well.

Lucas gently put me down right before all four girls came barreling into me, into a huge group hug. They were all talking at once. "oh my god, are you ok?"

"We heard what happened"

"We should go out tonight, Get your mind of this" Rachel suggested. All of the girls nodded and looked at me for confirmation. "That's if it's ok with Alpha Lucas" Sarah looked at him with pleading eyes. i could feel him about to protest so i piped up, "Please Lucas" i looked at him with sad eyes.

His shoulders dropped as he huffed and said yes. i thanked him and kissed him on the cheek before the girls led me to a little house not far from Lucas's which was one of the houses where membes of the pack lived. They pulled me inside, into a pink bedroom and started to doll me up.
