chapter 20

Lucas's POV

"Where the hell is she? It's been two days and we still have no idea where my mate is" i yelled at my dad and Alpha Charlie. i'd followed the faint scent of the vampires around the streets but i'd lost it after acouple of turns meaning that they'd been a while.

When i came home, i'd told my dad about Kelsey being missing and He's phoned her dad telling him as well. i had a right go at Rachel and the other girls. They'd promised to keep her safe and look where that had gotten Kelsey. Kidnapped by vampires for some unknown reason. i haven't spoken to them since.

Charlie has his beta and all his warriors looking for Kelsey and so do i. i haven't slept or eaten since Kelsey dissapeared.

"Our men are doing all that we can. I am as mad as you are but we have to keep our head straight if we want to find my daughter, Oh my god" Charlie whispered the last bit.

"What?" He looked at me and gulped.

"Now, i'm not sure but about a week ago, My men brought in a female vampire. She could belong to them, how could i have not realised this sooner, i'm such an idiot, my baby girl is probably in agony because of my own idiocy" i cut off his babbling when i shoved him against the wall and punched my fist into the wall beside his head.

"MY MATE COULD BE BEING TORTURED RIGHT NOW BECAUSE OF YOUR OWN STUPIDNESS!" i snarled,

"I know where the coven is, we can swap the vampire for Kelsey" i shoved him away from me.

"Well, let's go get his bloodsucker so we can get my mate back" i stormed out of the front door to make my way to the cells outside but halted when i looked up and saw a sight that made my blood boil.

Kelsey's POV

i laid on the hard, cold floor staring up at the ceiling, trying to hold onto my life. I have no idea, how long i'd been here. There's no windows or clocks. So i have no idea if it's day or night.

I'm so hungry. i've had two shots of water and two mouthfuls of bread. since i was kidnapped. They said they want me weak but they don't want me dead. Yet. Where's Lucas?. He said he'd protect me, keep me safe. Now look were i am. In a cell, being starved and tortured.

I fell so dirty. My purple dress that i wore to the club was now covered in dried blood, as well as my hair, face and neck. My arms, stomach and legs are caked in black and blue bruises. i used to heal quite quickly but now it's like i was my human self, before i shifted. i barely heal now.

i've tried to shift and call for Kali, but nothing happens. i think the silver has weakened me too much.

A couple tears leaked from my eyes. i tried to wipe them, but i have no strength left in me to lift my arms. i slowly turn my head the side, when i hear the creak of metal of my cell door and see two guys come in. "come on, doggy, we're going for a ride" a guy grabbed each of my arms and dragged me out of the cell, with my feet scraping along the floor behind me.

My head hung low as we travelled through what i assumed was a house, until we existed a door, and i was met with a fresh breeze. Outside, finally. i see that it's nightime now.

i'm dragged across the cravel, until we come to a car and i'm chucked in the boot, before i'm met with darkness again.

We drove for some time, before i felt us come to a stop. The boot opened and i'm flopped over a shoulder. The guy thats carrying me and about 20 odd other vampires started to walk into a wood.

It isn't long, we before i'm dropped to the ground and yanked up to my knees by my hair, i used what lef of my strength to stay on my knees so i don't sink and feel the pull on my hair.

i looked up to see something i haven't seen before. It was a house about 3 storeys and was quite large. Suddenly the front door opens and my breath catches in my throat. i've missed those icy blue eyes and think black hair,

"Lucas"

Lucas's POV

"Lucas" i heard her whisper. i sucked in a breath when i took her appearance in. Her face and neck were covered in drid blood and bruises as well as her arms and legs. I could see her shivering from the cold. i growled and stormed my way towards her.

"I wouldn't do that if i were you" The guy that stood next to Kelsey, yanked her head up by her hair and i halted. "One more step and she's dead" i had no choice but to stay put. I heard feet pounding behind me and knew that Charlie and what was left of the pack that didn't go searching came out and halted beside me.

I heard Charlie growl and went to stride forward but i pulled him back and whispered wait.

"Oh, look daddy doggys here" The guy who had Kelsey's hair, who i assumed was in charge. Charlie then spoke up,

"Give me my daughter back, Christian!"

"Not yet, i want my mate back, one i get my mate back, then you can have your bitch back" He spat as he yanked Kelseys hair again. My heart broke when i heard her whimper.

Kelsey's POV

i whimpered in pain, as the man, who i now know as Christian yanked my hair once again. I was so happy, to see my dad and mate again. When Christian asked for his mate back, my dad gestured for one of his men, i assumed to go fetch her. We waited about a minute or two before he came back, dragging a woman with him.

Christian immediately hissed at the sight. Dad then took hold of her and pulled her towards us. Christian followed suit.

We all met up in the middle as my dad said, "Now give me my daughter, then you can have your mate back" Christian instantly pulled me closer to him, gribbed my hair harder and pulled my head back so my neck was angled towards him.

"give me my mate now or, i'll bite your litle bitch and you know what that'll do" i saw my dad physically gulp. i knew exactly what a vampires bite would do to me. i'd die within minutes. Christian held my neck to his mouth, till dad passed his mate over.

christian loosened his hold a little and went to pass me back, but i was yanked back quickly and suddenly felt a pain in my neck, right before i was shoved forwards into my dads arms. "NO!" i heard both my dad and Lucas shout. I felt a gust of wind and saw that the vampires had disspeared.

i turned towards Dad and pain exploded in my neck. i screamed and grabbed my neck. i stared at dad and Lucas, both with a mixsture of fear and anger in their faces. But me. i only had sadness. i'm going to die.

My legs crumpled beneath me as shocks zipped up and down them. i screamed in pain again. i felt myself being lifted bridal style. Lucas. i felt him comforting me as we raced inside the house.

I cried and whimpered as the pain increased. i felt my heart pounding, my temperature rising, my hands are already sweaty, my breathing increased immensly.

Lucas laid me on the sofa carefully, right before i clutched my stomach and curled. It felt like my whole inside was on fire and was being ripped from my very body.

i looked at Lucas and he was blurry from my tears. i wiped my eyes and grabbed his hand as another wave of pain, overwhelmed me. "PLEASE HELP ME!" i cried. Lucas looked to my dad expecting a good answer but my dad looked at me with tears whelling up and a pained look in his eye. That was a clear answer.

There's nothing, they can do for me. i'm actually going to die.

My back bowed off the sofa as what felt like my heart was being ripped out of my chest. i looked to Lucas to see that he had tears streaming down his face. i placed my hand on his cheek and whispered, "I love you" right before i felt my breathing go faint, my heart beat slow and the pain lessen.

i saw Lucas lean over me and capture my lips for one last kiss right as i took my last breath.

My god, i was on the verge of tears writing this part and i know whats going to happen. Just hang on because i'll WILL MAKE IT UP TO YOU.
