Lucas's POV

I ran and i ran till i reached the lake. I slumped down along the shore and howled into the night. Zoric was wailing in sadness and agony. I hung my head and whimpered. I waited 2 years for my mate. I'd finally found her and now she's freaking dead. 

I raised my head and howled again. I hung my head and just stared at my reflection in the water for god knows how long. But then...

"Lucas?" i hear a voice from behind me that has my ears perking and my wolf purring.

When i turned around, my eyes widened at the sight before me. This can't be real.

Baby? y-you're-

"I'm alive. I don't know how but i am" My mate cried. I quickly shift and rush over to my beautiful baby. As her arms wrapped around my neck, i held her head with one hand and slid my over around her curvy waist.

We both buried out faces into each others neck and i said, "I thought i'd lost you" 

I heard inhale my scent and she instantly stiffened. Suddenly i was shoved away and Kelsey had backed up a few steps. What's going on?

"What are you-" My breath caught in my throat when i looked at her mouth. Fangs. How?.

"Y-you're a vampire?" i asked confused. No matter what i couldn't take my eyes off of her fangs. As i took a step forward, Kelsey took acouple of steps back. she said not to come near her, becasue she was afraid of killing another person.

I asked who else she's killed and she described Adam, Charlies pack doctor, perfectly.

Suddenly her breathing picked up immensely as she slid to the ground, gripping her head. i immediately rushed over and comforted her. I pulled her to look at me but her gaze went straight to my neck.

"Hey, don't look at m neck, look at my eyes, just breath and focus on my voice. Everything is going to be ok, do you understand? you won't hurt me, we'll figure this out" i cooed to her. Her breathing then became slower and she relaxed.

"See that wasn't so bad" I looked at her and thought about how she became like this. She was a werewolf bitten by a vampire. No werewolf can't and has never survived from that. 

But this wonderful girl in front of me died and came back a vampire. That's impossible. What about her wolf? Does she still have her wolf? Can she still shift? 

Ow!  I came out of my thoughts, when i felt something bite my bottom lip. I looked to see kelsey was right in front of me and was sucking my bottom lip. I moaned right before i was shoved onto my back. Kelsey jumped right on top of me, gripped my hair and went back to nibbling to my lip.

My wolf jumped at her actions and something else of me jumped at her action, if you know what i mean. 

I grabbed her hips and pulled her harder against me, she responded by grinding her hips against mine. I growled at the sensation. 

I whimpered inwardly at the loss of contact when she leaned up on her forearms but  she whipped her hair to the side and slammed her soft plump lips against mine, roughly kissing me before licking my lip for entrance. 

I opened and let her explore my mouth as i slid one of my hands up her side, grinning when i hear her sharp in take of breath as i skim the side of her breasts before i fist her hair and pull her harder against my lips, my other hand sliding over the curve of her perfect ass, giving it a squeeze.
