SAMMY'S POV

"Mom" I say, walking through the house

"Yes honey?" She asks, pulling me into the living room and sitting with me on the couch

"Don't freak out okay?" I say, trying to keep calm "I'm going to be eighteen in two days and its time that you let me make my own decisions"

I take a breath and let it out slowly "ace and I got a house" I begin "we are going to move in together after graduation"

"What?!" She yells "you can't do that"

"Yes I can mom." I say "I know that you aren't nervous of me moving out with ace but your nervous about me leaving and being blind"

She sighs

"I understand that, mom but you have to know that ace will take care of me no matter what. He wants this. We both agreed that for the baby's sake, we need to raise her together but not be together"

"Sammy, I'm afraid to let you go, I can't let you go"

"Think about, mom. If I wasn't blind, I would still be leaving for college. I am going to leave either way. I trust ace and I know you do too. He is a great guy and if I ever wanted to have a baby with anyone it would be with him"

"Are you sure you want to do this, sweety?" She asks "your going to have a whole new life, you will be going into a whole new world. Its not going to be the same"

"I know. I'm ready, I have been ready. I'm excited, mom. I want this. I'll visit all the time and you can visit all the time." I smile "the house sounds beautiful and ace is in love with it. I really want you to see it when its ready." I take her hand in mine "on Friday the furniture is being delivered and we are setting everything up. I would love for you to be there with dad and ace's parents. They are coming too and that's a great time for you guys to talk about this"

"I'll be there, baby" she gives me a tight hug "I'm so proud of you. You are so brave"

"I love you, mom"

"I love you too"
