ACE'S POV
"It's a girl"
A smile spreads across my face. Sammy wears the same smile. My hand squeezes hers and I rest my forehead against the hospital bed.
I wasn't expecting to have an excited feeling when I found out the gender of the baby. But right now, I just want the baby in my arms.
The doctor cleans up the gel that goes on Sammy's stomach. Sammy sips up her pants and sits up.
She makes a face as she does so. She holds onto her stomach and then let's out a breath.
I smooth her hair back from her face. "Are you happy its a girl?" I ask her
She nods "I really wanted a girl"
"I'm affriad she's going to be as beautiful as you when shes older and we won't be able to get the boys off of her." I admit
She laughs "your worried too soon"
"I'm planned ahead"
"Way ahead" she smiles and runs her fingers through my hair.
"You are good to go, Ms. Key" the doctor says "don't forget to make an appointment at the front desk before you leave" he gives us a smile "congratulations"
"Thank you" Sammy and I say in unison
Taking her hand, I help her off the bed. She pulls her sweatshirt down over her stomach.
"You okay?"
She nods "I just want to eat something."
I laugh and help her out of the room.
"When do you want to go shopping?" I ask her
"How much money do you have?"
"Enough" I answer
"How much?" She asks in a sterner voice
I sigh "a couple million"
She gasps "what the hell, ace!" She hits my arm "you have that much money in the account?!"
"No" I scuff "I have like twenty thousand in the account and the rest is in a safe place"
"A safe place" she repeats "I can't believe it"
"When do you want to shop?" I sigh, getting a little irritated
"Well I'm free at any time"
I nod "how about tomorrow? I have some things to take care of today"
"Like what?"
"Baby things"
"What baby things are you doing that I can't be a part of?" She asks with attitude
"Just things"
"I want to be involved. I have the right to be"
I roll my eyes and let out a groan "if you want to be a part of it then that's fine with me"
"Good cuz I do"
"But its business so don't interrupt when I am talking to the people" I instruct her "you dont know how to do what I'm doing so don't butt in"
She rolls her eyes at me "whatever. Let's just go eat'
