All of the soldiers scurry into position and look towards Chan for instructions.

Chan: You understand what to do, right?! Try your best to stab him with iron weapons! Even touching him with them will weaken him! But keeping the prince safe is our number one priority! If he gets more of Jisung's blood, he'll get strong enough to the point that even iron doesn't affect him! Now go and do your best!

The soldiers nod and run into the halls of the castle to find the leader.

Chan walks down the stage and turns to face us.

Chan: Felix, you go help defend. Hyunjin, I need you to keep an eye on the soldiers and make sure they're doing it right. I'll come to help you in a minute.

They nod and run off to do their assigned jobs.

Chan: Minho, you have to go and protect Jisung. The guards might have iron, but leader can control minds and you know how dangerous that is. I think you'll do best at this, okay?

I nod and turn around, going to Jisung's room as fast as I can.

The hallways are a mess.

Leader must have gathered the only two demon groups that are loyal to him and brought them here to strengthen his side.

Luckily, there are only about 20 demons in total, while thousands of soldiers are fighting against them.

If they fight well enough,  we might win.

I turn the corner and spot Jisung's room, but...

the door is open...

Why would Jisung leave the door open in the middle of this situation?

Maybe...

It's not Jisung who left it open?

He's in trouble!

I run as fast as can towards the room, pushing the people blocking my way aside.

I look inside the room and see a demon holding Jisung by the wrist while Jisung is crying and struggling to break free from his grip.

His disheveled hair, red eyes, and tear-stained face trigger make me want to rip whoever hurt him into shreds.

He notices me and lets out a sob while reaching out his free hand towards me.

I pounce onto the demon and pull him away from Jisung, both of us falling over onto the ground.

He quickly frees himself from my grip and gets back up.

Based on his strength, he must have been a demon for quite a while, meaning he's as weak as the others.

This is going to be tough, but at this point, I'm ready to fight anyone for Jisung.
