"Do you think we should tell them yet, David?" Hannah not-so-quietly asked my dad. I averted my attention to them.

"Might as well." He replied, standing up. "Mark and I have an announcement to make." Mark also stood up. "The reason we had everyone come over today was because we're arranging a marriage for Louis and Alexandria."

What.

The.

Hell.

I choked on my water slightly. "Please tell me I heard you wrong." I freaked out. He shook his head. "No, I'm not even eighteen! Is that legal?!"

"It will be since the wedding is in January." Dad said.

"Where the hell did you come up with this bloody idea?!" Louis exclaimed in rage, standing up and slamming his chair backwards.

"Lower your voice, Louis." His mom ordered. "You haven't kept a steady relationship in years. We're only doing what's best for you."

"Maybe I don't want to get married!" He shot back angrily.

"It's not what you want. It's what you need." Mark said firmly.

"And you, Alexandria, have never had a boyfriend. Hannah and I doubted you would ever want one. We don't want you being alone forever, so this marriage is the best solution." My dad said. Hannah looked at me apologetically.

Well, thanks for fucking embarrassing the hell out of me, Dad.

"Why couldn't you pick Hailey?! She hasn't kept a boyfriend for over a month!" I retorted.

"Young lady, I've had it with you're attitude." He said sharply.

"The same with you, Louis." Mark added.

"This marriage is happening. And that's final." Dad's loud and angry voice boomed through the dining room.
