Recap:

"Who's this?" Louis asked as he came and sat between Daniel and I.

"Uh, this is Daniel whose wife is in labor. Daniel, this is Louis, my fiancé." I introduced them awkwardly.

"Is the Reeves family here?" A doctor asked as he opened the door to the waiting room. Daniel and his family stood up. I shot him a thumbs up before he walked through the door.

Louis did not look happy.

"You alright, Lou?" I asked awkwardly.

"Yeah, just great. How about you?" He snapped bitterly. I was shocked at how cold his tone was. I've never heard him speak like that.

"Okay, what did I do?" I asked him.

"Nothing." He spat. Is he really gonna do that? That's what girls do.

"What did I do?" I repeated my question.

"Nothing." He said again.

"Louis!" I exclaimed.

"Alexandria!" He mimicked me.

"Tell me what I did so I can apologize, dammit." I ordered.

"Gosh, Alex, I proposed to you last night. Now you're already flirting with married men who have children!" He said angrily.

"Hold the fuck up. Flirting?" I raised an eyebrow at him. "I was not flirting with that guy. He's like twenty-five. You might be used to dating sluts that flirt with other guys, but I'm not like that, Louis." I told him firmly. "Now both of us can apologize and get this argument done with, or we can be dramatic and make it last longer."

"Lets get it done with, then. I'm sorry for assuming that you were flirting with that guy and I'll try not to do it again." He said.

"And I'm sorry for making it seem like I was flirting with that guy. I'll try not to do it again." I copied him. "I'm hungry."

"You can really just drop arguments like that?" He inquired. I nodded. "This girl I used to date would make them last as long as possible. I get sick of fighting." He chuckled.

"If we just keep arguing over something stupid, it won't get us anywhere. If both of us just apologize, then it ends the argument and we can continue with our lives." I explained.

"You're probably the only girl in the world that thinks like that." He chuckles.

"Then aren't you just lucky to be stuck with me?" I asked him cockily.

"I am." He nodded. "You're pretty and funny and you don't like arguing. Plus you're a beast at basketball."

"Thank you, thank you. I try." I laughed.

"Miss Hayden?" Another doctor opened the door. I stood up and slightly wobbled since I can't use my right knee. Lou stood beside me and wrapped his arm around my waist, helping me walk. "What seems to be the problem?" He asked.

"My knee." I replied.

"Alright, we'll get some x-rays done. How did you hurt it?" The doctor inquired.

"Basketball game." I answered him. "I was going in for a layup and some chick didn't want me to." I laughed.

"So I have good news and bad news." The doctor said. Dad and Hannah finally got to the hospital. We were all sitting in the room while he looked at the x-ray. "Good news first. Nothing seriously bad happened." He told us.

"See! I told you it wasn't bad!" I said to them. "Continue." I told the doctor.

"Bad news is, you'll have to wear a brace for a couple weeks." He told me. I shrugged. At least I won't be on crutches forever.
