-Louis's POV-

"I really like this one, Lou." Alex said, leaning against the granite countertop. "Do you know how much it is?"

"Babe, do you really think it matters?" I laughed.

"It does to me. I don't want a five million dollar house." She crossed her arms.

"Well, you don't have to worry about that because we're in London and they don't use dollars as currency." I winked at her. She rolled her eyes.

"You know what I mean."

"I know, I know." I nodded. "The price isn't important. Just make sure you love it before you decide."

"This is your decision too." She reminded me.

"I'm happy with whatever you want. I just want it big enough for a family." I said honestly. It felt strange talking about starting a family, but it made me excited. I was marrying Alex soon. We both want kids, so we'll have our own family soon. I can't see myself raising my children with anybody but her.

"Are you thinking about the same thing I am?" She asked me with a smile.

"Depends. What are you thinking about?" I inquired.

"Starting a family." She answered sheepishly.

"Then, yes, I am." I nodded. "I'm so excited, Alex. At first I hated this idea. Now, I don't care if it's arranged or not. I just want to be married to you."

"I love you, Louis. I hate our situation, but I love you more than you could imagine." She said.

"You have no idea how bad I want to kiss you, but I'm pretty sure our real estate agent is somewhere near us." I chuckled. He was probably in the next room over, listening to our conversation. I didn't like the guy. He was old and creepy.

"I think I want this house." She went back to the most important subject. "It's got everything we need. I could really see myself raising kids here. It's perfect."

The house was perfect. It was two stories, with four bedrooms and three bathrooms. The yard was big, which was great because we're getting two dogs from Jessica. There was an outdoor and indoor pool. It was close to town and had a long driveway, so the traffic wouldn't disturb us.

"So this is the one?" I asked. After two days in London and fourteen house options, she finally chose one.

"Do you like it?"

"I do." I nodded.

"Then I think this is it." She smiled. She ran her fingers over the countertop as she walked around the kitchen. She was imagining a family living here. That had to be it, because I don't know what else she would be thinking about right now. I could already hear the footsteps and laugher of small children. I could imagine Alex distraught, pacing back and forth while bouncing a crying baby. I envisioned her lying on the floor playing with dolls or toy cars with our children. Everything seemed perfect in my mind.

"You're thinking about a family again, aren't you?" Alex interrupted my thoughts. I sheepishly nodded. "I was too. I'm so excited. But I'm terrified at the same time. We're so young. Well, I am. You aren't really. I just can't imagine having a family of my own, but then again I can."

"Maybe we should continue this conversation at the hotel, love." I suggested, knowing she probably didn't want our real estate agent hearing all about her dreams and fears.

"Oh yeah." She blushed. "We need to go get him. I want this house. If you do too, that is." She added hopefully.

The images of Alex with our children replayed in my mind. "I want this one." I agreed.
