"I like these." Alex said, pointing at a bouquet.
"Yep, they're pretty." I agreed, not even looking up. She says she likes every flower we look at. We're currently wedding planning. It's not fun.
"Louis, you didn't even look up." I couldn't image her with her hand on her hip frowning at me. I glanced up from my phone and that's exactly what she looked like.
"Sorry, but this isn't my favorite part of wedding planning." I chuckled, trying to stay out of trouble.
"We only do this once, so please at least pretend to be interested."
"Okay." I gave in. "Which ones do you like for your bouquet?"
"I can't decide." She answered. "Either the yellow ones or the white ones."
"I like yellow." I replied honestly.
"But I don't think I look good in yellow. So I won't look good holding it." She mumbled, shaking her head.
"Love, you look amazing in anything. Get whichever ones you like. You'd look gorgeous holding a bouquet of rocks." I chuckled.
"I think I want the lilies." She said.
"Get the lilies." I chuckled.
"But what if I don't like the lilies in January." She sighed.
"Then we'll get roses."
"But I don't like roses." She ran her hands through her hair.
"Then we'll get drugs." I replied sarcastically.
"You're dumb." She mumbled, slapping my chest. I chuckled as I watched her mentally debate on which flowers to get. She pulled out her phone. "I think I'm getting lilies." She decided.
"It's about time." I gave a relieved sigh.
"We were here like half an hour. Be quiet." Alex hit me again, something she enjoys doing apparently.
"An hour and a half." I mumbled, looking down at my watch. "Do you realize we aren't even buying flowers today? We're just picking them out." I chuckled.
"Picking them out is the important part, stupid." She didn't hit me this time, to my surprise.
"I just love our relationship." I said sarcastically as we left the florist place. "We're so romantic."
"You know it." She laughed, winking at me.
"We should get your car today." I suggested.
"But it's so much effort picking out flowers and cars in the same day." She sighed.
"Rich kid problems." I teased her.
"Says the millionaire." She scoffed as as we got in my car.
"Isn't your birthday soon?" I inquired.
"Uhm..." She trailed off. "Today is the fourth. So it's in eight days."
"Mine is twelve days after you. So mines in twenty days." I replied.
"And what do you want for your birthday?" She asked me.
"Nothing." I shrugged. I have everything a want, pretty much. "What do you want?"
"Well, I already know what I'm getting you. So surprise me." She chuckled.
"I just said I don't want anything." I sighed, stopping at a red light.
"And your point is?" She raised an eyebrow at me.
"You don't have to spend your money on me." I told her firmly.
"You are a hypocrite! Have you seen me engagement ring?" She questioned, holding out her left hand. The ring was around $6,000 U.S. dollars. But I'm not telling her that.
"But that's my job. I'm supposed to spend my money on you." I told her flatly.
"No, your job is to sing. Wait, why haven't you been singing any?" She cocked her head to the side.
"We just got off tour last month, right before I came here." He explained. "We don't have another tour until like next November."
"What am I gonna do while you go on tour? They last like a year, don't they?" She asked, a million questions running through her mind obviously.
That's a good question. I'm supposed to leave my girlfriend- fiancé- sorry, wife home for a whole year? How is that gonna work out? I'd be a pretty bad boyfr- husband for that. I can't comprehend that we're getting married next month.
"I don't know..." I trailed off. "You could come with us."
"No." She shook her head, several strands of hair falling in her face. She tucked them behind her ear.
"Why?" I asked.
"It's your tour, not mine." She shook her head.
"We'll work it out." I promised, averting my eyes back to the road as I held her hand that was sitting on the console.
***
"Mum, what am I supposed to do during tour? I can't just leave her by herself." I said over the phone.
"I don't know, dear." She sighed. "We didn't work out all the details before we arranged this marriage. You might have to just let her live alone for a year."
"I can't do that, Mum." I sighed.
"You did it with Eleanor and all the other girlfriends. What's so different about Alex?" She asked me. She was waiting for me to admit that I was in love with Alex.
"I love her, okay? You were right. I didn't love any of the other girls. I can't treat Alex like I did all the other girls. I have to give her the best." I said back.
"Maybe she can come back to the states while you're on tour and stay with her family." Mum suggested. "I have to go, Lou. We have plenty of time to work this out. It'll be fine."
"Okay." I sighed in frustration.
"I love you, sweetheart." She replied, obviously sensing my attitude. "We'll figure it out."
"I hope so." I ran a hand through my hair. "Love you too, Mum."
-Alex's POV-
'To: Jesseee, Chandlerrr
I have a big problem :( meet somewhere and talk please?'
What the hell am I supposed to do in November? I can't stay home alone for a whole year. I just can't do it.
1. I wouldn't be able to sleep knowing nobody else is in the house with me.
2. I would be insanely bored.
3. I don't know anything about London. I wouldn't be able to do anything or to anywhere.
'From: Chandlerrr
My house in 10. Oh and I need you to help me with a cheer.'
I tied my dirty blonde hair up in a high ponytail after pulling on a gray sweatshirt that read 'Lakewood Varsity Softball' in purple letters. I tucked the bottoms of my sweatpants into my black Ugg boots. I put my phone in my pocket before going in the kitchen. I decided to leave Louis a note, since I didn't see him in the living room. I don't need to be questioned.
'Going to Chandler's house for a little bit. Text me when you see this. Love you!'
I drew a heart after 'love you' and put the sticky note on the fridge. I left the apartment, making sure I had my key. I saw four familiar faces when I got outside.
"Alex!" Harry said, noticing me first. "Is Louis home?"
"I think so." I nodded.
"You think?" Niall raised an eyebrow at me.
"I couldn't find him a second ago." I shrugged.
"He's probably climbing a tree or chasing squirrels or something." Niall assured me.
"Where are you off to?" Zayn inquired.
"Uhm, cheerleader stuff." I said. Well, it wasn't completely a lie. Chandler needs help with a cheer.
"What's cheerleader stuff?" Harry asked me.
"Cheers and... Stuff?" I answered, making it sound more like a question.
"Oh that sounds... Fun?" He copied me.
"Why are you guys here?" I changed the subject.
"Just came over to visit." Liam shrugged.
"I locked the door on my way out. Here, you can use my key." I said, handing them my apartment key.
"Then how will you get in?" Zayn raised an eyebrow at me.
"I'll just beat on the door until he opens it." I chuckled. I realized I'm wasting time and probably about to miss the last bus. Just then, Bus 43 drove by. The last bus to Chandler's house.
"That your bus?" Harry asked, following my gaze. I nodded. "I'll give you a ride." I agreed, knowing he wouldn't take no for an answer and I didn't have another way to get there. "I'll be back in a little while, yeah?" Harry told the other boys before we left. I got in the passenger seat of his car. "So where are you really going?" He raised an eyebrow.
"Chandler's house for cheerleader stuff." I answered, somewhat truthfully. I'm going to Chandler's house and she needs me to help her with a cheer.
"Really?" He asked skeptically. "That's really all you're doing?"
"Well," I bit my lip, "we'll probably talk or something too."
"You're sneaking around being Lou's back to go do cheerleader stuff?" He questioned.
"I'm not sneaking around behind his back." I defended myself. "I couldn't find him, so I left a note."
"You could've called him." Harry reminded me.
"You just love giving me a hard time, huh?" I sighed. "I'm freaking out about something and I'm going to Chandler's house to talk about it."
"You can't talk to Louis about it?" He tested.
"Nope." I shook my head.
"Why?" Harry inquired.
I sighed. "I'm trying to figure out what I'm gonna do when you all go on tour. They last like a year, right? I can't just stay at home by myself for a year. It seems a little ridiculous, but I just can't. And I'll be in London. I don't know anything about London. I'll be completely lost. If I talk to Louis about it he'll feel really bad and act like it's his fault all this is happening." I said, knowing Lou's guilty conscience. "So what am I supposed to do?"
"Oh..." He trailed off. "That's a good question."

What do you think they'll do about this situation? Oh, and I've made a decision! I'm making a sequel to this story! :) I know what it's gonna be about, but I can't tell you lol. I'll reveal it at like the end of this story. There's like 13 chapters left. So yay! xx couldntcareless
