"Why did she come with him?"

"Are they dating?"

"Is that Louis Tomlinson?"

I pretended like I couldn't hear the whispers of the girls on the basketball court as we walked into the gym. Louis went to the bleachers and sat to watch us. I walked over to Chandler after getting a ball. We had quiet conversation while we shot randomly.

"Explain." She demanded.

"Well, that's Louis Tomlinson." I began. She gave me a 'no shit' look as she caught my rebound and gave it back to me.

"Why is he here with you?" She asked me, quiet enough so nobody else could hear us.

"I'll tell you later so you don't freak out." I replied and shot behind the three point line.

"Okay, girls, we're starting off with layups today." Coach Gray announced. We have several coaches. Coach Massey, Coach Gray, and Coach Isonhood.

We all got on the timeline and began doing layups, one at a time. Chandler, Jess, and I all made ours.

"I'm dying." I groaned. Running twelve suicides and four bleachers. kills you.

"You'll be alright." Coach Isonhood picked on me, something he loves doing. He ruffled my hair as I walked towards my bottle of water, also known as heaven right now.

"Lex, explain now." Chandler ordered, also chugging her water. I glanced up and saw Louis headed our way. I pulled Chandler into the locker room and close the door.

"Don't freak out. I'm engaged to him." I covered my ears after I told her.

"Oh my gosh!" She squealed. "How did he propose?! Why didn't you tell me you were dating?! I want to see the ring! Holy shit!"

"He didn't propose. We didn't date. I don't have a ring." I stated. She gasped. "It's an arranged marriage."

"You lucky bitch!" She muttered. "Well, you're introducing me to him right now, of course."

"Sure." I gave in as we left the locker room. Louis was still in the bleachers playing on his phone. He heard us (or maybe smelled us. We stink after basketball practice) coming and locked his phone. He stood up and kissed my forehead. I was confused at why, but didn't say anything. "Louis, this is Chandler, my best friend. She'll probably be a bridesmaid in our wedding." I introduced them.

"Nice to meet you. I'm Louis, Alex's fiancé." He replied, holding his hand out for her to shake. She nervously did so. Chandler isn't a huge 1D fan, but meeting anyone famous fazes her.

"I'm, uhhhhh..." She forgot her name.

"Chandler?" He questioned.

"He knows my name. Oh my gosh. He knows my effing name." She freaked out. I rolled my eyes.

"Alright, we better be off before it gets too late." Louis declared, obviously weirded out by Chandler.

"Yeah, Chan, you should be doing home too." I suggested.

"You're hot." She told Louis.

"Uhm, okay, time to go now!" He grabbed my hand and speed walked out of the gymnasium. I laughed the whole time.

"She's normal once you get to know her." I assured him once we were in the car.

"I'm sure." He rolled his eyes teasingly. "So your dad... He kinda... Well..." Lou handed me his phone. He cranked his car and started driving while I read a text.

'I know this is sudden, but I need you and Alex to actually try and be a couple before the wedding just to see if you can work it out.'

"This is ridiculous." I muttered, my day ruined.

"I agree with you." He frowned. "But since we have no choice, will you do the honor of being my...girlfriend?"

"Might as well." I said bitterly and sighed. My dad just enjoys ruining my life, doesn't he?

"The happy couple." He mumbled.

"We already fight like we're married." I stated.

"Getting off to a good start." He said.
