"Alex, what was wrong with you today?" Coach Massey asked me. "It was like you weren't even trying."

"I'm just tired." I lied. "I'll do better tomorrow."

"Why don't you take tomorrow off? I've been working you to death lately. You're excused from practice." She told me before leaving the gym. Well, at least I don't have practice. I decided to stop at McDonald's on the way home. Casey's friend Cole works here.

I got out of my car after looking in the mirror at myself. I looked half dead, but whatever. I opened the door and inhaled the smell of grease. Gotta love McDonald's.

Since it was early, not many people were here. There was a couple people sitting at a table, but that's all. I saw Cole at a register.

"Alex!" Cole said once he saw me. "Basketball practice?" He raised an eyebrow at me.

"Of course. Why else would I be up so early?" I laughed. "Do you have any French fries?" I asked hopefully.

"Well, I'm not supposed to give them to you since breakfast ends at ten. But I guess since you're you, I will." He chuckled and told me my total. "The guys at the corner table are staring at you." He told me.

"What do they look like?" I inquired.

"One with curly brown hair, one with blonde hair, and one with kinda messy brown hair. He looks a little bit mad." He informed me. I pulled out my phone and went on Lou's twitter.

"Does one look like this?" I inquired, showing him Lou's picture.

"Yeah, I think so." He nodded. "Who is that?"

"My fiancé." I chuckled. He handed me my food and I paid. I took my fries and went over to Louis, Niall, and Harry. "I didn't know we were meeting at McDonald's." I said. Cole was right. Louis looked mad, or maybe jealous would describe his expression better.

"Where are you going?" Louis questioned me.

"Home." I answered. "I just got out of basketball. That's why I look so wonderful." I said sarcastically. Niall and Harry chuckled. Not Lou.

"And who was that?" He pointed at Cole.

"Oh, that's Cole." I said.

"Well, duh. He has a name tag." Louis shot back.

"He's Casey's friend, Lou. He's like a brother to me." I rolled my eyes at his jealousy.

"See, Lou? I told you to calm down. You don't have to be so jealous." Harry said, obviously trying to get on Louis's nerves.

"Gosh, just listen to us for once." Niall played along. I laughed at their successful attempt at annoying him.

"Alright, you guys have fun. I'm going home and going to sleep." I told them.

"Bye, love." Louis said as he stood up. He hugged me and kissed me on the cheek.

"Bye, Harry. Bye, Niall." I said to the two other boys before leaving.

"Bye, Alex!" They said in unison just before I got to the door.

I drove home, eating my fries as I did so. When I got home I didn't bother showering or even changing clothes. I just jumped on my soft bed and fell asleep immediately.

-Louis's POV-

"What was that?" Harry questioned.

"What was what?" I raised an eyebrow at him.

"You kissed her on the cheek. It hasn't gone any farther that that?" He chuckled.

"Nope." I shook my head. "She wants to take things slow. I'm completely fine with that."

"She told you that?" Niall questioned.

"Uh, well, no." I shook my head. "But she's never had a boyfriend and I just figured she wouldn't want to, like, jump into a relationship. You know?"

"Maybe she doesn't wanna take things slow, Lou. Maybe you should ask her." Harry suggested.

"I never thought of that." I mumbled. "I don't know. I guess I'll ask her. But we decided that we're gonna get a puppy for when we move back to London."

"A puppy?" Niall's eyes lit up. "What kind? Paul said we can't have a dog. Does that mean you're getting a house?"

"Yes, a puppy." I chuckled. "A German Shepherd, I think. Screw Paul. And I think we're getting a flat to share."

"You're moving out?" Harry's face fell.

"Maybe we can find one in the same building." I suggested hopefully. "But we're gonna live close."

"Good." He replied.

"She got a scholarship for basketball." I told them. "She can't accept it, because she has to move to London with me." I frowned.

"That's sucks." Harry mumbled. "Is she mad?"

"She says she's just a little bit upset. I don't know, though. I would be mad if I were in her place." I shrugged.

"Me too." Harry and Niall said in unison.

"JINX!" Niall yelled. "Can't talk!"

-Alex's POV-

"Alexandria Brielle Hayden, get in here!" Hannah's angry voice said from the kitchen. I kicked off my basketball shoes at the door and went into the kitchen. "What is this I found in the trash?" She held up crumpled and torn pieces of paper. It was the scholarship information that I ripped up.

"My scholarship." I scoffed.

"And why is it ripped up in the garbage?" She frowned, putting her hand on her hip.

"Because I can't accept a scholarship. I have to move to London, remember? So don't be mad at me for this. It's your fault." I snapped.

"Don't speak to me in that tone, Alexandria!" She yelled.

"I can talk to you however I want! You aren't my mom!" I yelled back and ran up the stairs to my room, slamming the door. I ran my hands through my hair in frustration. I needed something to take my anger out on. I did the first thing that came to mind and punched my window. A portion of the glass shattered. My hand was bleeding with several pieces of glass stuck in it.

"Damn." I muttered and went to my bathroom. I got a washcloth out and began pulling the glass out, wincing every time I got a piece out. My hand was bleeding terribly. I then realized I had some glass shards in my arm too. I pulled them out, failing to ignore the agonizing pain. I rinsed it under the sink and put a couple bandaids on it. "Why the hell did I do that?" I sighed, leaning against the bathroom wall.

"Lex?" A familiar voice asked from the other side of the door. "You in there?" Hailey questioned, opening the door. "What happened? Why is there blood everywhere? Why is your window shattered?"

(Hailey is Alex's sister. The one that's a slut lol. Incase you forgot.)

"I'm mad, okay? Can't you just leave me alone, Hailey? You don't have to pretend to care." I snapped.

"Fine then." She spat and stormed out, going back to her room. I locked my door and began cleaning up the glass. I put it into my garbage bin, glad that the ripped up scholarship packet was gone. It just reminded me of the opportunity that I would never get to take.

The anger built up in me again. I refrained from punching the window again. I kicked the wall, trying to take my anger out on something. I collapsed on the bed in frustration.

"Fuck my life." I muttered angrily.

************************************

That took forever to write and it's so short :( but Alex is soooo mad bc of her scholarship! I would be too tho. But the lucky bitch is marrying Louis Tomlinson! I wouldn't be that mad lmao. Okay so keep partying it up and give me some feedback please and thank you! xx couldntcareless
