-Alex's POV-
I woke up to an empty bed. I heard the shower on in the bathroom. I got my phone that was on the floor for some reason. I saw that the time was 8:03 in the morning.
What?! I'm late for school!
I checked the date and sighed in relief when it said Saturday. I sunk back down into the bed and scrolled through my social media. The bathroom door opened and Louis walked out. I glanced up from my phone and immediately regretted it.
"Louis, put some clothes on!" I exclaimed, covering my eyes. He walked out with absolutely nothing on.
"You're awake?!" He exclaimed. I heard a lot of shuffling after that. "Okay, I'm decent." He said. I sighed in relief. "You weren't supposed to be awake."
"You aren't supposed to walk around naked either!" I shot back, trying to erase the memory from my mind. "Oh my gosh. I'm scarred for life."
"You're just upset that you didn't get to see my-"
"Keep it PG!" I cut him off.
"Well, it's true." He chuckled, flopping down next to me on the bed. I was about to reply when my phone started ringing. It was Jessica calling.
"Hello?" I answered.
"Hey, are you busy today?" She asked me.
"I don't think so. Why?" I inquired.
"I was thinking about getting some family together at Dad's house and announcing about me being pregnant." She explained. "Could you maybe help me cook? I'm gonna make them all dinner."
"Yeah, of course." I agreed. "It might not taste good, but I'll cook it." I laughed.
"Have you heard from Hailey?" She asked me.
"Not a word." I shook my head.
"Bitch." Jess mumbled under her breath. "I'm pregnant and you're about to get married and she won't come home, or even text us back."
"What can we do about it?" I sighed. "It's not like she cares."
"I don't know, Alex. I just wish she would at least pretend to want to be in this family. It's not like we've taken care of her unemployed ass for months." She said sarcastically.
"Okay, back to the point, what do I need to cook?" I asked.
"Just make whatever." She replied. "They'll eat anything."
"Thank you for being so specific." I rolled my eyes. "I should probably go to the store to get some ingredients. I'll talk to you later. Bye, Jess!" I hung up before she could carry on a conversation.
"What're we going to the store for?" Louis asked me.
"Jess is announcing her pregnancy tonight at Dad's house." I explained. "She wants me to help cook something."
"Then lets get going." He said, getting off the bed. I got off the bed and went to my closet. I got a tank top and Nike running shorts. I went in the bathroom and changed, then brushed my teeth. I brushed my hair and then tied it up in a messy bun. I ignored my bag of makeup and left the bathroom.
I glared at my stupid knee brace I still have to wear. I hate it so much. I'm not wearing it at my wedding. I don't care if I have to crawl down the aisle.
"You look terrible." Louis told me as I came out of the bathroom.
"Gosh, I love you too" I said sarcastically.
"I'm joking, Alex." He chuckled.
"You're ugly." I said, putting on my sandals.
"I thought I was pretty beautiful." He scoffed.
"You thought wrong." I replied.
"You're just a ray of sunshine." He told me.
"You're just a ray of ugly." I answered.
"Please define a 'ray of ugly', love." He raised an eyebrow at me.
"Louis Tomlinson is the definition." I shot back.
"Well then." He huffed. "I'm feeling loved."
"You started it." I shrugged.
"Okay, you're absolutely gorgeous and I love your face. Better?" He asked.
"And you're...okay." I said, just to get on his nerves.
"Eh, I'll take what I can get." He shrugged. "Hey, what's your middle name?" He inquired.
"Brielle. Why?" I raised an eyebrow at him.
"Just wondering." He replied. "Wanna know what mine is?"
"Nope." I shook my head. I love being difficult to get on his nerves.
"Yes, you do." He disagreed.
"No, I don't." I said back.
"You do."
"Nah."
"You do."
"Not really."
"It's William." He told me.
"Ugly name for an ugly child." I teased him.
"It's a beautiful name for a beautiful child, thank you very much." He sassed.
"I beg to differ." I giggled as we walked down the hallway. The next thing I knew, I was tackled to the floor.
"Oh gosh!" He exclaimed, jumping up. "Is your knee okay? What about your ribs? I'm sorry! I forgot!"
"I'm fine." I told him, though it did put some unusual pressure on my ribs. "Just help me up, loser." He extended his hand. I grabbed it and pulled him down on the floor with me.
"Not fair." He whined. The next thing I knew, he was hovering over me. He was straddling me, but not sitting on me. "Now just say that William is a beautiful name for a beautiful child and this can all be over."
"I can't lie." I chuckled.
"It won't be lying." He shook his head.
"Fine." I sighed. "William is a beautiful name for a beautiful child."
"Thank you." He grinned victoriously. "Now say I'm sexy."
"I'm sexy." I smirked.
"You know what I meant." He sighed.
"I'm not gonna lie again, Louis." I chuckled.
"I'll tickle you." He threatened.
"I'm injured." I reminded him.
"Just say it." He groaned.
"You're sexy." I rolled my eyes.
"More enthusiasm." He demanded.
"Louis!" I exclaimed.
"Yeah, just like that." He nodded.
"I hate you."
"I love you."
"I hate you."
"I love you, though." He grinned.
"You're an idiot." I rolled my eyes.
"A sexy idiot." He corrected me.
"Whatever you say."
