"I hate this time of year." I told Chandler, reading the paper that our cheer sponsor, Miss Katherine, just handed out to us. The varsity cheerleaders have to help with the cheer camp for girls from six to twelve years old. I absolutely hate doing it.
"I know. The little kids don't mind us anyways. I don't understand why they make us help." Chandler scoffed. Jesse isn't a cheerleader, so she didn't go to the last minute cheer meeting after school.
"It's pretty ridiculous." I agreed. "Hey, we need to have a sleepover at somebody's house Friday." I told her.
"We do." She agreed as we left the classroom that the meeting was in. "We can do it at mine. Mom and Dad are going on an anniversary date thing for the weekend so they're leaving Will stay at the house and watch me." She rolled her eyes. Will was her brother that was older than us by a year.
"You're eighteen and you still need a babysitter?" I chuckled.
"I don't need one. They just know he annoys me so they make him babysit me all weekend." She rolled her eyes once again.
"I would volunteer my house for the sleepover, but we hardly have any blankets in that house and one bedroom. It's ridiculous." I told her.
"We'll work out details like Thursday night or something. I have to get to basketball. When are you gonna be able to practice again?" She inquired once we stepped out of the building.
"Two weeks. See you tomorrow!" I called out, scanning the parking lot for Louis's car. I found it parked fairly close to where I was and made my way over to it. I don't have a new car yet, so he picks me up and brings me to school.
"What took you so long?" He inquired.
"Emergency cheerleader meeting." I sighed, showing him the paper. I have to be at the school during my winter break at seven in the morning for four days straight.
"That sounds fun." He chuckled, starting the car.
"It's not." I shook my head.
"Did you have a lot of work to make up?" He questioned.
"Yep, and a little homework." I nodded. "Are you smart?"
"Psh, of course." He scoffed. I raised an eyebrow at him, questioning if it was true. "Well, I'm not the smartest but I'm not stupid."
"I wasn't calling you stupid." I laughed, setting my books and binders on the floor of the car.
Somebody tapped on the window, getting my attention. I looked up and saw Ryan, Claire's ex boyfriend if you've forgotten.
"Who's that?" Louis asked.
"Give me a minute." I mumbled, opening the door and getting out of the car. I slammed it, a little annoyed at Ryan. "What do you want?" I asked, putting my hand on my hip.
"You and me should go out Friday night." Ryan told me. He didn't even ask. He just stated it.
"What? Ryan, that's my fiancé. Why the hell would I want to go on a date with you?" I pointed at Louis who was in the car.
"He's obviously a little bitch if he made you get out the car alone to talk to a guy." Ryan replied.
"You did not just say that. You're obviously a disrespectful prick if you're gonna ask me out in front of my fiancé." I shot back.
"He can't hear us." Ryan shrugged. "He doesn't even have to know about it."
"I am not cheating on him, you ignorant mother fucker! Now go screw Claire or something." I spat.
