You stared up the ceiling, wondering why Levi didn't wake you up when he left. Its already afternoon and your stomach was grumbling from hunger. You sighed and sat up, wincing as you felt the after effects of your night activities with Levi on your back and hips.

That damn stamina of his will end up breaking my bones. You thought to yourself as you sluggishly left the bed and walked towards the bathroom. Legs trembling like a newborn fawn, you managed to reach the sink and placed your palms to lean on it. Fuck, can't he hold back a little bit? You complained staring at your skin on the mirror reflection. Your neck was covered with marks from Levi biting and sucking on it last night.

You frowned at a particularly red and sore spot on your collarbone. "That freaking jerk." You muttered, making a mental note to grab some ointment from the infirmary later. You started to unbutton the shirt you were wearing when a glint on the reflection caught your eye.

Your eyes dropped to the hand that was unbuttoning your shirt. Your jaw dropped to see a ring glistening under the light of the room. "What in the holy mother of titans..." You muttered under your breath, raising your hand to your face. You gaped at the ornate ring on your finger, the intricate design around the silver band that leads to a glittering diamond at the center fit perfectly on your ring finger.

You gently traced a finger on the patterns around the ring. "It's beautiful..." You whispered. You felt an ache on your chest, seeing such a gorgeous ring on your scarred and calloused hand made you insecure. Why did Levi give this me? You wondered as you continued to unbutton Levi's shirt and changed into your own clothes from the night before.

You were in a daze as you went back to your own room to bathe and change into clean clothes. The ring felt heavy on your finger, the intention behind it unknown to you. You fought the urge to take it off afraid of hurting Levi's feelings. You sighed. Your head was starting to hurt from missing breakfast and lunch.

You bumped into someone while walking, your mind occupied with thoughts of the ring and Levi. "Sorry." You muttered, still in a daze. A hand caught your wrist as you swayed from the impact. "Y/N? Are you okay?" You hear a familiar voice ask with a tinge of concern.

You turned to face the source of the voice to see Hange and Erwin staring at you with worried gazes. "We kept calling out to you but you didn't notice us." Hange said placing a palm on your forehead. "Do you feel ill?" Erwin asked leaning down to look into your eyes.

You gave them a smile. "I'm fine. Just preoccupied with... things." You replied waving away their concern. Hange laughed out loud. "I bet. Levi must have done something wild to make you that dazed and distracted." She teased patting you on the back. "Champ." Hange proudly muttered.

Erwin gently smacked Hange on the back of the head. "It's not proper to talk about their private affairs, Hange." Erwin scolded Hange. You watched as your friends bicker in front of you. "Actually, do you know where Levi is?" You asked them, wanting to properly talk to Levi. He can't just put a ring on you and run away.

Hange gawked at you, her jaw dropping to the floor You frowned at her exaggerated expression. "What?" You asked. Your friend shook her head. "Wow. Levi did one heck of a job last night if he got you coming back for more." Hange replied thoughtfully. You blushed at Hange's implication when Erwin grabbed Hange by the collar and dragged her away.

"He's in his office, Y/N. Doing some paperwork he missed." Erwin said, giving you a soft smile, his gaze dropping down to the ring on your finger. "Good luck." He added as he pulled a struggling Hange down the hall.

Your brows furrowed. Confused at Erwin's last statement. Good luck? On what? You thought to yourself as you made your way down to Levi's office. You knocked on his door before opening it and peering inside. You saw Levi behind his desk, a stack of papers in front of him. "Levi? Are you busy?" You asked, peeking from behind the door.

Levi turned his attention away from the document he was reading to warmly smile at you. "Yes. But come in. We can talk while I work." He replied, nodding to the sofa near his desk for you to sit on. You shook your head, entering his office and closing the door behind you. "I won't stay for long I just wanted to ask you...something." You hesitated.

Levi glanced at you through his lashes. Dropping the paper he held on the desk, turning his full attention on you. Levi stood up and approached you. He reached a hand to your chin lifting your gaze from the floor. "What is it?" He asked, raising his palm to caress your cheek.

You leaned your face into his palm and sighed softly. Are you overthinking the reason behind the ring? Maybe its just a gift? But what if it meant something more? Thoughts ran through your head as you stared into Levi's eyes. Oh, fuck it. Only one way to find out.

You grabbed Levi's hand into yours, not breaking eye contact with him. "Levi, why did you put this ring on me?" You asked, straight to point, raising your hand to his face. The ring shining in all of its glory. Your eye twitched as Levi smirked at you. "You didn't take it off." He stated. His smirk turning into a full-blown smile as he wrapped a hand around your waist pulling you flush into his chest.

You placed a palm on his chest to push him away. The ring catching your eye once again. "That's not the point, Levi. Why am I wearing this ring?" You asked. Dropping his smile, Levi crossed his arm across his chest. "It's a ring." He replied.

You scoffed, rolling your eyes at his implied sarcasm. "I know it's a ring, stupid. I'm asking why you gave it to me?" You frustratedly questioned. Levi dropped his gaze to the ring. "You don't like it?" He whispered, tilting his to the side. "Wha- Of course, I like it. It's bloody stunning. But why is it on my finger?" You asked once again.

Levi shrugged, turning back to his desk. "I saw it at the antique shop. I thought it'll look beautiful on you so I bought it." He finally replied. You sighed. "So it's just a ring?" You asked him, watching as Levi fixed the papers on his desk. He turned to face you, a solemn expression on his face. "It's just a ring." He replied.

You breathed a sigh of relief. The weight on your finger disappearing. You glanced down at the ring on your finger. The beauty of it rendering you speechless, you smiled. "Or you could think of marrying me." You hear Levi softly say.

You lifted your eyes to see Levi leaning against his desk, the afternoon sun glowing out the window behind his desk gave him an ethereal silhouette. You choked on your words. "W-what?" You whispered.

"I said," Levi softly muttered as he reached out both his hands to cup your face in his palms. "Marry me, Y/N."
