A/N: Just a short Levi fluff content. Its a soft Levi headcanon of mine. Lol.
"Levi, where is Y/N?" Hange asked as she bumped into Levi inside the common hall where the boisterous chattering over lunch made him frown. Already missing the quiet serenity of your room.
Levi glared and smacked a cadet on the head who threw a piece of bread at his friend across the room. "Settle down and eat like a fucking normal human." He ordered the horrified cadet. "She's at the infirmary. Working. Unlike you." He replied to Hange as he grabbed a piece of bread and poured himself a cup of tea, settling on a table a distance away from the noisy group of cadets.
"Perfect! I'm picking up Erwin from the hospital, so we'll stop by to see Y/N in the infirmary later when we get back." Hange joyfully said as she patted Levi on the shoulder. "You want to come with us?" Levi turned to Hange, taking a sip from his cup, the warm peppermint taste coating his tongue. "No." He bluntly replied as he kicked Hange lightly on the shin. "Go away."
Levi turned back to his lunch as several cadets walked past him. "But honey, I already told her we'll attend the party..." He overheard a couple talking behind him. Levi frowned into his tea.
"Please, cupcake? I really don't want to go..." A female voice whined in a high-pitched voice. Gritting into Levi's ears making his mood turn sour. I want to go see, Y/N. He thought as he sighed and took a bite of bread.
"Fine, muffin. We'll do what you want." Levi heard the man coax the simpering woman. A squeal was heard from behind him almost making Levi cover his ears from how grating and high-pitched it was. "Thank you, pumpkin! You're the best! I love you!" The woman said.
Levi couldn't take the romantic atmosphere and stood up to leave the table. He walked out of the common hall and went to the direction of the infirmary. He opened the doors and strolled inside, his eyes searching the area for you.
He finally spotted you at the sink, cleaning some supplies. The younger medics in the infirmary started to salute him but he quieted them with a finger to his lips. He walked up to you while you had your back to him. His lips lifted up into a gentle smile as he felt you jump when he wrapped his arms around your waist.
Levi hugged you from behind as he rested his chin on your shoulder. He sighed, feeling at peace with you in his arms. You turned your head towards him furrowing your brows. Why is he being so clingy? You thought to yourself as he continued to latch onto your waist while you washed the basins and towels on the sink.
You sighed. "What's wrong?" You asked him, fed up with his silent stare. Levi continued to watch you as you dried off one basin after another and placed them aside. "Some cadets were being noisy at the hall." He murmured nuzzling his nose at the crook of your neck. "They were flirting and calling each other stupid things like honey, cupcake, and muffin." Levi complained tightening his arms around you as you struggled to get away from him.
You gave up and decided to hold his hand instead of having him latch onto your waist. You moved to the drying hooks along the wall near the sink to dry the towels, your hand still held in Levi's warm palm. "Those are just pet names aren't they?" You replied to him. "I mean, I've heard couples refer to their partners that way. I guess they show affection to the people they like by calling them something sweet." You chuckled, finding it hilarious. You always thought is was ridiculous being referred to as a sweet object. I do have a name, and I quite like it. You thought to yourself as you hang up the towels on the hooks.
You missed the thoughtful expression on Levi's face as he watched you work. His thumb tracing your knuckles with a contemplating expression. He squeezed your hand before letting it go. "I need to go back." He murmured giving you a kiss on the cheek. "I'll see you later, peppermint tea." Levi said as he turned away, the tips of his ear red.
Your hands froze in midair as your head snapped to where Levi was standing. Peppermint tea? You slapped a palm on your face as you realized Levi got the concept of pet names wrong. "That romantically dense man..." You muttered under your breath, chuckling. "He called me peppermint tea!" You exclaimed laughing out loud as your apprentices stared at their leader with worried gazes.
Despite Levi getting the idea of pet names wrong, you didn't correct him, amused by the names he called you. But when he referred to you as toasted bread while kissing you, you decided that that was the end of the line.
A/N: But for real though, I feel like this is something Levi would get wrong and feel embarrassed about. Lmao.
