The Dark and The Light-Billy

"Morning sleeping beauty," a voice said, I rubbed my eyes and saw Spike grinning at me 

"Don't look at me I'm hideous" I cried putting my hand to my forehead dramatically he laughed helping me up I had probably slept two hours I was super tired Spike walked down to where the rest of the group was while I put my hair in a ponytail 

"I'm not breaking into 221B" I heard Spike yelling 

"If he's going to force us to work for him then I'm going to figure out everything I can about his business partner" B shot back looking very fierce 

"I'm not doing it, the guy is a psycho imagine if he caught me" Spike cried "He probably has a torture chamber with sex equipment in it a stuff" that was probably true 

"Look" B scoffed "either you break into 221B or you help us with the job" Spike sighed in defeat 

"I'll go back to Balham with you and look into these sightings," Jess said 

"I don't know Jess" B started to say 

"None of you can do what I do it's why the doctor asked for us in the first place," Jess told her "because of my abilities you need me B, I'm coming with you" I liked Jess, she was very brave 

"Alright, Billy, Hanna, you go interview the victims" B instructed and I nodded not completely excited to be going somewhere with Billy since I still think he isn't too fond of me 

"We said we weren't going to work for him again" Billy spoke up "we all agreed" but they all rushed up the stairs anyway, we followed and stepped into the sunlight 

"I won't let him take you back to the workhouse" Billy assured B 

"He's not some guy you can beat up Billy," B said He's connected to the police and god knows who else, how do you think he got into my cell" 

"I don't care who he is, I wouldn't let it happen," Billy said firmly

"You'd beat up the whole police force?" I asked skeptically 

"Not all of them, like a quarter of them, then the rest of them would shit themselves" he responded, B and I giggled at that the two of them stared at each other and I backed away sensing some sort of feeling I think Billy liked B

"Good afternoon" my brother appeared and Billy gave him a very nasty look

"Looks like your brother decided to show up" Billy nudged me and he laughed

 "Hello, Beatrice, what are you all doing?" Leo asked  Spike scoffed and walked past him, my brother was totally clueless  

"We're working on a new job," I told him quietly knowing the rest of them were mad 

"Well I'd like to help if I could and what the hell are you wearing Hanna," he asked 

"Clothes" I responded simply wondering why he asked such a stupid question

"It depends on whether or not you can spare us the time I guess" B snapped, Billy chuckled at Leo's misfortune and I elbowed him in the ribs "if you really want to help you can go with Billy and Hanna on the interviews"

"Wait what" Billy yelled a look of horror and disgust on his face 

"This is too good" I snickered nudging him annoyingly as he did earlier 

"Actually Beatrice I thought I might-"Leo began 

"Well, you thought wrong, either help with the interviews or piss off" B sneered as she and Jess walked away, Leo looked at me and I shrugged not wanting to tell him the real reason they were mad. Billy, Leo, and I made our way to the first interview I could tell Leo was still deep in thought 

"I think I'm gonna call you kitten," Billy said all of a sudden we walked down the street 

I looked at him in confusion "why? my name doesn't even start with a K" no one had ever given me a nickname so it was quite odd 

Billy chuckled "I know, you look small and delicate like a kitten but you could probably scratch someone's eye out if you wanted to" 

I laughed "Alrighty then" he probably wasn't actually going to call me Kitten though, I looked at all the people passing by and all the posters on brick walls Billy's attitude towards me had totally changed over the last 15 hours 

"Are people angry at me for some reason Billy?" Leo asked from behind us. Billy walked away and didn't answer, I sent my brother a sympathetic look and continued to walk I didn't know what to say to my brother. I wondered how Leo was fooling our mother into thinking that he's still at the palace, it must be very difficult.
