The Dark and The Light-Billy

Fight

"Look how quiet the streets are," Spike said, Billy, Spike, and I were sitting outside looking around "it's the monsters, people know, they know something bad is happening, it's in the air" 

"Listen," Billy said "about the other night, I was out of order" 

"You alright now?" Spike asked 

"Yeah," Billy nodded looking away "I got my head back together" 

"Good I'll get them in then," Spike said going back to the cellar, Billy put his arms around my waist and pulled me closer, even if he didn't want to admit it I knew he was scared, we all were

"What's that?" I asked Billy pointing to some flyers that were coated in a dark liquid 

"I don't know" he replied hopping off of where we were sitting, we walked over and Billy touched it, the red liquid stained his fingers, blood. 

"There you are you little pisser" a voice growled, I shot up and saw Vic staring evilly at Billy 

"Just walk away" I whispered tugging on Billy's arm and that's what he did, he took my hand and we started to walk away but Vic followed 

"Leave us alone Vic, I don't want to talk to you" Billy spat as we lead him away from where we actually lived 

"Oh," Vic scoffed "but you want to speak to all the people in the workhouse I see, trying to rack up some shit about me were you, if you've got a problem, why don't you act like a man, come and see me" 

Billy whipped around "I'm not going to fight you, you're not worth it" he spat 

"That's a shame" Vic sighed "cause I'm going to fight you" without warning he hit Billy across the face with his cane sending him to the ground 

"Stop, stop, please" I yelled 

"Stay out of this girl" Vic snarled at me "the trouble is with boys without dads, they don't learn how to be real men but I'm going to teach you"

"Oh, you're a real man?" Billy said skeptically and Vic hit him again, on the mouth this time, I had no idea what to do, I wasn't strong enough to fight Vic and if I ran for the police he would hurt me 

"Get up and fight me," Vic said "fight me, you know how I remembered your name was Billy? cause I gave it to you, it was my privilege to name all the ones who came in, all the ones whose mothers never bothered to Christian them, I named you and I made you strong cause you needed to be strong, I mean look around you, look at this city" Vic had basically started to scream now "look how it treats people" he pulled Billy to his feet "you think you'd have lasted without what I'd done, I taught you how to fight"

"Please, don't hurt him" I yelled again but he ignored me 

"Now" he pointed at Billy "you fight me, you little piece of shit" Billy didn't move he just kept glaring at Vic "Come on" Vic screamed waving his arms around madly "fight me" Billy then punched him "FIGHT ME" Billy punched him three more times sending him toppling into a pile of bricks where Vic lay motionless

"Billy?" I walked over "i-is he dead?" Billy didn't answer 

"Jesus, he's dead," a man who had been watching said "get the police" 

"Hanna" Billy turned to me "get B and Spike and tell them what happened here, I'm going to go to jail and I'm probably not going to get out"

"Don't say that" I said with tears running down my face "I saw what happened, I'll testify, you didn't mean to kill him, he egged you on" 

"Step aside," a man told me, shoving me out of the way so he could get to Billy 

"Make sure you tell them Hanna" Billy yelled as he was being led away, I was left alone in the dark alleyway, I started running to the cellar as fast as possible 

"B, Jess, Spike, Leo" I yelled running into the cellar, B stood up quickly looking concerned at my scared state "it's Billy" I panted "he's been arrested"

"What? why?" B asked handing me a cup of water 

"Because he saw Vic the guy from the workhouse on the streets, Vic made Billy fight him and Vic ended up dead," I told her 

"Shit Billy" she sighed 

"What are we going to do?" Jess asked from where she was laying on her bed 

"I don't know, where's Leo and Spike?"

B looked at me guilty "Spike's getting beer and I sent Leo away"

"Where did you send him?" I asked 

"I sent him back to Buckingham palace" she responded "Daimler stopped by, Hanna I need you to get him, I overreacted and I'm afraid I'll never see your brother again"

"B, I know you care a lot about Leo, I do to but right now I think Billy being in jail for murder is our top priority," I told her 

"We have to tell Spike, he's going to be pissed"

Heyyy, so there are only a few chapters left in this book sadly and I'm trying to figure out how Billy and Hanna are going to end up. I'm not sure if I should make Hanna and Leo have the same fate or keen Hanna and Billy together, please please comment on your ideas because I really don't know what to do lol.
