The Dark and The Light-Billy

Pain

"Hey, can we talk?" B asked as I was pouring tea 

"Sure" I mumbled turning around to face her 

"Look, I haven't had the chance to apologize for what I said the other night, I shouldn't have said that because I know killing someone was hard on you, I mean how could it not be, it was a selfish thing to say and I'm so sorry," she said 

"It's ok B" I smiled pulling her into a hug "I know you didn't mean it" she nodded and pulled away she poured herself a cup of tea as well 

"I'll see you guys later," Billy said walking past us, I sighed and walked back down the steps to where I slept, I don't care where Billy is going at the moment and I have to practice my dance anyway, Leo and I have to attend our sisters birthday soiree must do my disappointment 

The dance I had to do was complex, to say the least, and I always messed up, I had to perfect it so my sister didn't get mad. Leo and I are not of age but Daimler informed me that he got us in and I told him that he really really really didn't have to do that. 

I heard the music in my mind and began to practice

I finished without making a mistake which was very rare "Kitten" Billy walked down the stairs "what are you doing?" he asked 

"Practicing" I responded simply "Leo and I have to leave tomorrow, it's our sister's birthday" he nodded 

"It was a pretty dance," he said 

"Thanks" I mumbled 

"Can you teach me?" he asked, was he actually serious?

"Uh yeah I guess," I said and he walked to where I was standing "ok, so hold your hand up" I showed him and he did "now walk in a circle" he did that too and it was pretty good  

"Is this supposed to be hard?" he asked grinning 

"Shut up and let me teach you" I laughed "switch sides," I said and he held up his other arm and we did the same thing but in the other direction "now raise your arm over your head like this" I demonstrated 

"This is weird," he said 

"I know" I replied smiling, I liked having time with Billy "why haven't you told anyone about me and Leo being heirs to the Queen of England?" I asked 

"It's not for me to tell" he responded shrugging "I need to talk to you" he dropped his arm 

"Well you've been talking to me for the last ten minutes" I laughed but he looked very serious "what's up?"

"You've been acting really strange," he said "one second you're in a good mood and then the next second you're snapping at me or Leo or even B and I just want to know why" 

"I can't tell you," I said softly 

"Please Hanna, it's giving me whiplash" 

"Billy, I can't ok, it will ruin friendships that I've worked hard at forming, and because Leo's my brother he would get roped into the drama and I can't cost him this friend group, it means too much"

"Are you saying you don't care about us as much as Leo does?" Billy asked, his eyebrows creased 

"No what I'm saying is that I can afford to go back to the palace and live there if I were to ruin everything but Leo can't he isn't allowed to do anything and he will be sad again, I really can't do that to him" 

"I really don't know what is so bad that you can't tell me, I'm your best friend," he told me 

Yeah, friend 

"Maybe one day Billy, but for now I'm not going to tell you" I sighed walking over to my sleeping area, he followed me of course, why did I think he would give up easily. I crawled under the covers and looked away from him 

"Kitten, I don't like seeing you sad" he mumbled 

"Billy please just leave me alone" I bit my lip trying not to cry 

"Hey-"

"please" he nodded and walked back up the stairs, I turned and sobbed into my pillow. There was too much I could lose if I told Billy I liked him, screw that I might even love him at this point. I closed my eyes and drifted to sleep.

The next morning I got out of bed and started getting ready to go back to the palace. I wasn't looking forward to the soiree but I know how much it means to my sister. I was almost done when Billy walked down the stairs 

"Kitten, I need some advice," he said 

"On what?" I asked not looking at him 

"Should I ask B out?"

"No," I told him flatly  

"Why not?"

"She likes Leo"

"Are you sure"

"yes"

"But what-"

"Billy stop," I said and he looked at me confused "she likes Leo and that's it, there's nothing you can do about it, just learn to accept it" 

"So you're suggesting I give up?" he asked sounding a little pissed 

"Actually yeah I am" I shot 

"Is that what you would do? if you liked someone and that person liked someone else, would you give up and move on" he asked 

"Yes, I would" I responded 

"But you don't even understand" he spat "you don't get what it's like to have someone you love fall in love with someone different"

I scoffed and glared at Billy "if you really think that you must be blind, I do know what it's like, Billy, it sucks, a lot, but you have to move on if that person is never going to return your feelings" 

"What if I don't want to give up?" he asked 

"Just shut up Billy" I yelled "I really don't care about how much you love B, you asked for my advice and I gave it, it's your decision to use it or not" I stormed up the stairs and went out into the streets. Leo was waiting for me looking equally pissed 

"Let's go" I grumbled 

"Did you have a fight with someone?" he asked 

"Yep, did you have a fight with B?" 

"Yep" he responded flatly, we continued to walk in silence, I guess we were both having problems, maybe tonight would give me a chance to think. 

Just so everyone knows, the next chapter is going to follow most of the plot but there is a scene that is unrealistic and practically impossible so don't come for me lol. Also, I'm posting 2 times today because I'm so so excited for the next chapter.
