November soon passed and then it came to December. I wanted to spend the holidays on my own, but George would not allow it. He actually turned up at my house on the first day of the holidays and physically took me to the burrow. His words to me were "You can't leave now mum knows your here" when we appeared in the house. God damn him for the molly guilt trip and his stupid smirk!

To say the holidays were awkward would be an understatement. It was horrendous since I hadn't spoken to Fred since the argument in the dorms. It was horrid between us since I had confronted him about the things, I had heard him say. The worst part of it all was that no one knew about those things except from me, George and Fred but then Fred also didn't know that George knew what he had said to.

I tried to avoid him as much as I could during the day by spending time with Hermione and Ginny, but nighttime was the worst since I was sleeping in the same room as him. It only got even worse when Angelina stopped one of the nights that her and Fred weren't arguing and spent the night making nasty comments towards me. I was doing my best to not let it get to me, but it began to piss George off so much one night I had to drag him out the room when I thought he was going to explode at the other to.

"You've got to calm down" I told him.

"How can I when she's sat there making comments about you?" He said in a very small shout.

"We be the bigger people George"

I was just glad that the holidays had come to an end and school was starting again tomorrow. However, this meant exams were now only 2 and a bit month away from beginning and I planned on spending as much time as I could studying.

...

We were only a week into the new term when everything started. I had just come back to the common room from the library when I could hear shouting. I carefully entered the room to see lots of the Gryffindor house stood around two people. I looked around completely unsure of what was going on until George approached me and took a hold of my hand as he pulled me to the side of the room where there were some others stood.

"What's go on?" I whispered.

"Fred and Angelina are arguing"

"Oh why, what's happened?"

"Honestly I don't have a clue, I just came back to the common room before you" he said.

I nodded as our attention was pulled to the two of them stood in the middle of the room.

"Your so selfish Fred!" Angelina shouted.

"Me, selfish" Fred said in disbelief whilst pointing to himself.

"Yeah, you never give me any of your attention" she exclaimed.

There was a lot of shocked gasps from around the room at her statement. Everyone knew that Fred had basically given her his full attention the last year. He had stopped talking to friends and peers.

"What? I've given you my full attention this last year! Unfortunately, my whole life became you!" Fred shouted pointing a finger at her.

She scoffed at his words before she spoke again. "No, it didn't, you were always talking about your brother and Her!" she shouted the last part as she guested to me. Everyone's eyes fell all me causing me to shift uncomfortably on the spot. George squeezed my hand trying to comfort me.

She then continued on. "Why do you think I made you stop being friends with her?" Again, there were more gasps of shock. People shocked to hear just how controlling she was. "She was all you ever talked about along with George"

Everyone turned to look a Fred who face began to show anger. "Firstly, she has a name and it's y/n. Secondly she is... Was my best friend" he corrected himself. "She was the best friend I ever had, and my biggest mistake was dropping her. I said stuff about her that I can never take back that she heard me saying." he shouted. "And it was all your fault I said those things!"

I saw him glance at me as he said his next words. "I lost my best friend of ten years, the person I told everything to, the person who I went to when I needed comfort or was upset. The person who always had my back. And what did I lose if for? A pretty much one-sided relationship" he said.

"Me and you" he pointed between the two of them "are done".

I didn't expect what happened next to happen. Angelina must have saw red because before I could react, she was storming over to me and then her hand made contact with my face. "This is all your fault!" she shouted as I place my hand on my cheek where she had just slapped it. Suddenly a tall figure was stood in front of me block Angelina from me. "Don't ever touch her again!" Fred's voice boomed as he breathed heavily.

Angelina took one last look at Fred before turning round and shouting at everyone. "What are you all looking at?" people quickly began to disperse as she left the common room.

Fred then turned to me and George who was now moving my hand to look at my cheek. "Are you okay?" he asks his face showing some guilt. I nodded "I'm fine".

"Fred, will you say with her while I run to the kitchens and get some ice for her cheek?" he said not even waiting for a response before running out of the common room leaving just the two of us.
