Chapter 31

Third person POV

The six members of the order landed outside of the ministry with a loud crack which caught the attention of some ministry workers before they went back to what they were doing. It wasn't unusual for aurors to be in and out the ministry, so no one questioned their sudden appearance. "Where are we going again?" Remus asked Moody. "We need to head to the department of mysteries" moody replied to his voice in a hushed tone.

The group all quickly picked up there pace as they headed to where they needed to be. Once outside the room It was decided that Sirius would enter first. Sirius apparated in into the Department Unbeknown to Lucius Malfoy, who had just taken the prophecy from Harry. However, the shocked look on Harry's face, when he saw Sirius caused, Lucius to turn around. "Get away from my godson" he said raising his fist as it came into contact with Lucius face. On that note, one by one the rest of the aurors begun to apparated in the room each of them taking out a death eater with them as they did so.

The sudden force of the punch Lucius dropped the prophecy as it smashed on the floor. Within seconds a battle commenced between the Death Eaters and the aurous. Tonks and y/n quickly grab Luna and Hermione and pulled them to safety just in time as two huge rocks exploded. The two adult witches left the girls behind the rock as they went to continue fighting. On the other side of the room, behind a large rock Sirius told Harry to get himself and the others out of there. "Now listen to me, Harry, I want you to take the others and them get out of here."

Y/n and Tonks Were now stood back-to-back, firing off spells at death eaters to protect themselves. Suddenly the loud cackle of Bellatrix Lestrange caused them both to turn around to face her. Bellatrix began taunting both young witches as she fired spell after spell at them. Fortunately, Tonks and y/n were both able to block the spells until she fired one at the department ceiling, causing it to collapse. Tonks and y/n We were able to drive out the way just in time, only catching the tail end of the explosion. It was so powerful it caused y/n fall face on the floor hitting her head. Y/n However, shook it off Instantly standing back up with the aid of Tonks Who could now help her because Bellatrix had moved on.

Bellatrix began to fly around the room, taunting her cousin Sirius but also still cackling. Just as Sirius had stupefied Lucius Malfoy Causing him to go flying back off the large rock. Bellatrix landed on the rock next to the one Lucius had just been stood on and suddenly yelled "Avada Kedavra" whilst pointing her wand at Sirius. The spell hit him directly in the chest causing him to quickly slip away into the vail.

Harry, in all his shock, couldn't believe it and tried to run after Sirius but was held back by Remus as he let out a painful scream. Bellatrix took one look at Harry whilst a satisfied smirk spread across her face before she left the room and went running down the corridor yelling, "I killed Sirius Black" over and over again. Harry wriggled his way out of Remus's grip and chased after her double corridor. The rest of the order were instructed to get the rest of the children Back to Hogwarts safely by Professor Dumbledore who had just turned up too.

The members of the order began to grab the arms of the children and apparated out of the ministry instantly taking them to a nearby Floo Network where they could floo back to Hogwarts safely. The order members took them to the Infirmary immediately So they could be checked over by Madam Pomfrey. Once it was known all the children were okay which took several hours the other members all took off back to their homes after a quick reminder from Moody about the next meeting being pulled forward. Y/n and Tonks went back to headquarters with Remus to inform Molly and the other Order members of what had happened and to tell them of Sirius's death.

The news of Sirius death sent shockwaves through the whole of the order. Everyone knew what was coming next and it frightened them all more than they would admit but they knew they all had to stick together and get through this. They knew that they were going to need to fight but they also knew that not everyone was going to make it out of this war alive. 

A/N - hey  so i just want to remind you that the time line is slightly different to the book/movies and so that is why Sirius dies whilst harry is in his 6th and not 5th year like in the films. 

I feel so sad that the story is getting closer to the end.
