Chapter 27

y/n POV...

It had been a few days since the party and my conversation with George. I had finally decided that there was no better time to put my plan of moving into action. I didn't see the point in sticking round in England anymore. I was done with school and with what looked like a war was coming I just felt it was right.

I had spent the last couple of days packing and shrinking things down to put into my bag with its undetectable extension charm for easy storage and travel. the last couple of days had been quite exhausting to say the least but they would all be worth it in the end.

I just had one last thing to do and that was to say goodbye to Fred and the others. I already knew that everyone was at the burrow so it wouldn't take long to do but I knew that George wasn't going to be there because Fred had told me a letter that I didn't actually respond to. I decided that I would write him a letter instead. I picked up a quill and parchment and began to write.

Dear George,

I'm writing this but I honestly, I'm finding it so hard to put into words what I want to actually say. You have been my best friend for so many years. I knew when I met you and Fred all of them years ago that You's would be a big part in my life. I couldn't be more thankful for both of use, especially you George over the last year and a half but I need a fresh start away from everything. With everything that's happened over the last year I've decided that its best to move on from here. I'm going to be moving over to Paris and staying with some friends till I'm settled. I'll miss you all and I wish you all the happiness for the future. I'm sure you're going to do great things especially with the shop.

I signed off the letter and folded it up placing it inside of an envelope. After quickly changing into some shorts and a t-shirt and grabbed the letter and my wand before apperating on the spot. With a loud crack I was now stood in meadow that surrounded the burrow. I slowly approached the door and just as I was about to knock the door flung open.

"y/n" Fred said slightly shocked to see me but then he pulled me into a hug before he pulled me inside the house. "What are doing here?" he asked. "I- I've just come to say goodbye to everyone" I paused "I'm leaving this afternoon" I gulped.

"Your leaving?" he asked as I nodded in response to his question. "What? Why? Where are you even going?" he fired the questions at me. "Fred, I need a fresh start after everything that's happened, I just think it's for the best. So, I'm going to stay in Paris with some friends till I'm settled and then I'll hopefully be able to find my own place." I said as we walked towards the front room. The others all turned to me. "Y/n" they all shouted in unison. "What are you doing here?" Hermione asked.

"I've came to say goodbye to you all, I'm leaving this afternoon" I told them. Suddenly both Hermione and Ginny jumped up and crashed into my chest. "Leaving! why?" Ginny exclaimed. "I need a fresh start Gin, there just too much happened here" I sighed. "Will you be coming back to visit?" Ron asked. "Yeah of course, once I'm fully settled so it will probably be a few months" I replied.

After saying final goodbyes to Ron, Ginny, Hermione and harry I turned to Fred who offered to walk me towards the door. "Fred, could you do me a Favour?" I asked him. He Nodded waiting for me to go on. I pulled the letter from my bag and handed it to him. He looked at the letter and then back to me however I didn't say anything as I then began to unclasp the necklace that George had gotten me from around neck. I dropped it into his hands. "Can you give these to George for me?" I asked taking a deep breath.

"Yeah of course, I will" he said. "God I'm going to miss you Freddie" I said as my eyes began to cloud over slightly. "Me too" he said before pulling me into his chest giving me a tight hug. we stayed in the tight embrace not wanting to let go. "I have to go Freddie I still have some stuff to sort out before I leave" I said when I finally did pull away. He nodded and then as I was walking out into the meadow he shouted from the door "Don't forget to write!". I smiled at him nodding before apperating out of there.
