Chapter 32

Y/n POV...

Tonks and I left headquarters together. After we both said our goodbyes, we went our separate ways. I walked for a little bit, trying to find an ally way where I could apparated from. Eventually I found an ally way that was appropriate which was only a few streets away. I closed my eyes and focused on my apartment before apperating with a loud crack. Within seconds I was in my kitchen, as I landed, I grabbed the table to keep myself steady as I was so tired, I could barely stand.

"y/n! Oh, my what happened?" the worried voice of who I found to be Fred when I looked up. He rushed over to my side and pulled out a chair before telling me to sit. "George! Get in the kitchen now" Fred's voice shouted. Seconds later the kitchen door burst open, and a very confused George was stood in the doorway. However, the confusion didn't last long When is eyes met mine. "What the hell happened?" he said as he walked quickly so that he was crouched in front of me and gently placed a hand on my lip which had a cut on it. We had been so focused on getting the kids to safety and making sure they were okay that we hadn't bothered to get ourselves sorted.

I winced at the contact causing him to quickly pull his hand away and also apologies. "Sorry, Fred get me a damp cloth" He asked him. Whilst Fred was getting the cloth, I began explaining what had happened. "So, Sirius is dead?" Fred asked clarifying that that was what I had told them. "Yeah, Bellatrix hit him with the killing cures and then she disappeared" I answered him. "And you know who is back?" George then asked a frightening tone very evident. Before I answered him it really hit me that he was back, and everything was going to be changing. "Yeah, he was in the ministry and even the minister who didn't believe harry now believes him as he saw him with his own eyes." I spoke up after my own thoughts.

We sat in complete silence for a long time, I think we were all contemplating what was going to happen now. That was until I spoke up wanting to ask them something. "Why are use here shouldn't you be at your flat?" I asked which caused both of them to look up. "Well, we had shut the shop up slightly early, thought we could all go for some food but when we got here you where no was to be found, we assumed you had gone out and so we thought we would wait for you" Fred said. I just nodded at him. "I'm going to go shower; I'll see you guys later" I said standing up and exiting the kitchen not bothering to wait for a response from them.

Once I had showered and changed, I went straight to my bedroom and collapsed into my bed where I quickly fell asleep. After what must have only been a few hours, I woke up. I looked at the clock which read 12: 26. I let out a loud groan as I sat up and climbed out the bed and then wondered to the kitchen. I grabbed a glass from the draining board, filled it with water and then quickly chugged it down before slamming the glass back down against the work surface. I stood and looked out of the window for a few moments before deciding to head back to my bedroom. I had only been back in bed for a few minutes when I heard my bedroom door creak open. I quickly sat up, grabbing my wand. "It's only me love" The very quiet voice of George whispered.

I let out a deep breath that I hadn't realised I had been holding, before placing my wand back down on the table. The bed dipped down as George climbed in beside me. "It's oaky" he said pulling me into his chest, I wanted to fight the hug, but my body just wouldn't let me. I hadn't realised just how on edge I was now after the battle earlier. I guess seeing Sirius die right in front of me had really shaken me up more than I thought. "I - I, this really happening. It's the start of major change isn't? It's no longer the world we grew up in" I said my voice just loud enough for us both to hear. There was no verbal response from him, instead he pulled me closer to him, if that was even possible. "Things are changing and we all need to stick together and look out for each other" he whispered into my hair. I nodded to show him I understood what he was saying. "Me, you and Freddie will all look out for each other, yeah?" he continued on. "And to do that we need to be together as much as we can till this is all over".

After a few moments of silence and only us holding each other close I spoke up "I'll come move in with you and Freddie." After I told the twins I needed time to think about it, today's events had really made me think about it. George was right we need to stick together and look out for each other. "Are you sure I don't want to push you, you did ask for time to think about it this morning?" He asked. "Yeah, I'm sure and after today's events its make sense when I've thought about it" I replied to him. "Okay then we'll sort out moving and things tomorrow if this is what you want" he said. I nodded into his chest. "Okay come on love you need to get back to sleep, you've had a long day" He pulled us both down to the mattress with my head buried into his chest. "Good night love" he kissed my forehead. "Night George" I replied pulling the blanket over me. 

First cute y/n and George moment  in a couple of chapters!
