I'm super sorry I missed an update. I've just been busy.
Its been a while since I wrote in Alec's POV so bear with me here. By the Angel, Alec can be hard to write. Ugh.

Alec was leaning against Magnus when Isabelle walked back down the hall. Alec jumped up, yanking Magnus out of his seat since their hands were connected.
Clary and Simon looked up from their conversation. "Did he actually ask you stuff?" Simon asked.
"Yeah." Isabelle said. "But he wouldn't believe me about Kara and Ben since I haven't actually seen them." She sighed, irritated.
"I have," Alec said.
"That's what I told him. I also asked for help for Jace but he didn't seem to want to give away anything. And his daughter, Maryln? She seems pretty nice. I think she could help us win him over."
Everyone drew in this new information and Alec wondered why in the world the Inquisitor wouldn't help Jace. "Who's next?" Magnus asked, jolting Alec out of his thoughts.
"Oh, Alec." Izzy said.
Alec sighed. This was going to majorly suck. "Good luck," Magnus said, leaning in and kissing his cheek lightly. Kiss me harder, he wanted to say.
"I'll need it," he said instead, reluctantly letting go of Magnus' hand.
Alec walked away as Magnus slumped back down into his seat. Alec felt like this wasn't going to do any good. The Inquisitor wasn't going to listen to him.
Alec took a deep breath and pushed the door open. The Inquisitor and his daughter were facing him, and there was a chair for him to sit in. Alec hesitantly walked over, sat in the chair, and tried to look the Inquisitor in the eye. He didn't seem very hospitable...so Alec shifted his eyes between the two of them.
Alec saw the Inquisitor give him a glare, but the girl beside him, Maryln, gavr him a barely noticeable smile. I think she could help us win him over, Isabelle had said.
Alec took a deep breath then slowly let it out. This was getting more awkward by the second. He needed to say something.
"Shouldn't you be like...questioning me?" Alec asked hesitantly.
The Inquisitor narrowed his eyes. "Even if I did question you, why would I believe you?"
"Because," Alec said. "I have proof."
"Proof of what? That you're gay and untrustworthy? Because I already can tell that, Alexander."
Alec saw Maryln flinch, and open her mouth as if to say something, but then she snapped it back shut.
Alec tried to look confident. This was like Robert all over again. "If you don't mind, I prefer the name Alec."
Because Magnus call me Alexander. Not some homophobic butthole like you. He thought.
The Inquisitor narrowed his eyes. Alec continued. "And yes, I may be gay, but how am I untrustworthy?" Alec tried to be calm. But somewhere deep inside of him a little voice was warning that this was not going to go over well. At all.
The Inquisitor leaned away from Alec, his back resting against the chair. He shrugged, but his eyes still looked murderous. "It's a trait that comes with being gay. They go hand in hand. Also," his voice turned ice cold. "Dating a downworlder does not help you."
"Don't talk about Magnus like that," Alec's froze, and his voice turned deadly. It matched the Inquisitor's, maybe even topped it.
"Magnus? Magnus?" He hissed in reply. He laughed dryly, and the sound made Alec want to curl up in a ball and cry. "You call the warlock by it's name?"
It. He just called Magnus an it. Alec clenched his fists in his lap and looked at the ground. "Well he has one, doesn't he? Why not use it?" He said, his voice teetering on the edge of insanity.
The Inquisitor looked at Alec as if he was looking at an infant who just didn't understand. "You just don't get it, do you?"
Alec wanted to scream. He wanted to yell at him, ask him What don't I get? But he couldn't. All he could manage to do was clench and unclech his hands, focus on his breathing, and try to remain calm.
"You don't understand that you'll never be accepted. You're dating a warlock and you're gay. You're disgusting."
"No." Alec said. "No you're disgusting. You assume how people are without even knowing them. And, you know what? Kara and Ben are out there. And they're coming back." Alec looked up and stared at the Inquisitor. He put his hand on his cheek and touched the scar there.
"This," he paused. "Was no fall. They whipped me."
"You deserve it, for being such a faggot." The Inquisitor hissed and Alec flinched, looking away.
"Dad!" Maryln said, Alec had forgotten she was there. "Don't say that!"
He whipped around to face her. "OUT."
"But-"
"I told you not to interrupt, and you did! Out!"
"But-"
"Maryln."
"Yes sir." Maryln stood up, and walked toward the door. As her footsteps echoed around around the room Alec stared at his hands clasped in his lap and tried not to cry.
Maybe the Inquisitor was right. Maybe it was wrong. But it didn't feel wrong...it felt right when he was with Magnus. It all felt right. Like that was the way it was supposed to be. Even if Alec was still mortal, and Magnus was immortal.
Maryln opened the door. "Ow!" She said, falling back. Alec wiped the almost-tears off his face and turned to see what had happened.
She had run into someone, who was coming in the room. He was looking frightened, and in his hand he held a crisp piece of paper.
"Magnus," Alec breathed, running over to him despite the Inquisitor's shouts of protest. "What is it?" He asked once he was in front of Magnus, looking into his cat eyes.
"It's this. I left to use the bathroom and I came back, and found this in my seat." He thrust the paper into Alec's hmore..
"What is it?" Alec asked. It was just a bunch of gibberish words on a page that Alec couldn't understand.
"It's a spell."
"A spell for what?"
"A spell to remove love. There was a note attached, from Kara and Ben."
Alec sucked in a breath and turned the spell over in his hands once more. "What does that mean?"
"It means time's running out. Time's running out for us."
