Dream sighed as he typed out his daily log. To him, it was boring. He liked hands-on work, but ever since what happened yesterday, Dream hasn't visited the containment cells since.
"Hey Dream."
Dream spun around in his chair until he saw Bad.
"Bad! Hey, how are you?"
Bad rubbed the side of his arm. "I'm...fine."
Bad quickly sat down and pulled out some papers.
Dream looked at Bad quizzically. "Oh...kay."
Dream continued staring at Bad as he sorted his papers out. He looked down at Bad's arm. Are those...needle pokes?
"Did you get a vaccine or something?" Dream asked.
Bad stopped moving around his papers. He turned around to face Dream. "No, just needed a break from stuff."
Dream nodded. "Oh...okay. Just...making sure you're doing alright. Skeppy was worried about you."
Bad looked back to Dream. "Really?"
"Yeah, we all were." Dream replied.
Bad stood up. "I need to go find Skeppy. I'll be right back." Bad left the room.
Dream confusedly nodded and turned back to his monitor. "Another weird thing that's happened this week."
___
Bad moved quickly through the halls. He opened the file storage room. He walked in and silently closed the door behind him. Bad smiled as he approached a small glass box. He opened the lid.
"Hey, Halo." Bad giggled as the small dark shadow crawled onto his bare hand. "You missed me, didn't you?" Bad stroked the creature.
The blob bounced up and down, nuzzling Bad's thumb. Bad smiled. "Aw, I missed you too."
Bad heard footsteps outside the door. He quickly set Halo back into the box and closed the lid. Bad tiptoed lightly to the door and looked through the small window.
"I should probably go. I don't want you being taken from me again." Bad turned off the light and stepped out the door, leaving his head poking through. "I'll come back soon, Halo." He stepped out and closed the door.
Bad sighed as he made his way back to the lab. He turned and bumped into someone.
Skeppy looked up. "Bad? You're back?"
Bad looked at Skeppy, shocked. "I- uhhh...hi Skeppy yeah I was just coming to see you actually."
"Oh." Skeppy paused. He rushed forwards and hugged him tightly. "Don't ever scare me like that again Bad," Skeppy muffled in Bad's sweater.
Bad didn't return the hug, surprised. He slowly hugged Skeppy back. "Oh, you muffin. I'll never leave you. You're my joy."
Skeppy pulled back and looked up at Bad. "I love you Bad."
Bad's smile faltered. He looked around and took Skeppy's hand. "Let's talk privately."
Bad led Skeppy to a small storage room and closed the door.
"What's happening?" Skeppy looked around the storage room as Bad sat down.
"Skeppy, you promise that you can't tell anyone this."
Skeppy looked at Bad confusedly. "What? Tell who what?"
Bad sighed. "Please don't freak out, but...I've been hanging out with Halo."
Skeppy stood there, stunned. "You've been doing what?!"
"No! No please don't freak out." Bad stood up and hushed the shorter one.
Skeppy scoffed. "Please tell me you're at least suited up when you're with it."
"He. It's a he, Skeppy. No, I haven't been suiting up."
"What?! Bad don't you understand-"
"No I think YOU don't understand. I'm fine, Skeppy. I'm not being affected by him, I've never been affected by Halo. And he's scared when I put a suit on-"
"HOW COULD IT BE SCARED BAD?! IT'S A FUCKING CREATURE WE DON'T KNOW!"
"LANGUAGE!" Bad fumed.
Skeppy sighed and rubbed his forehead. "Bad I don't want you being hurt. Which is why we took it away from you, in the first place. You were getting attached to it. And now you are again. Halo is a creature we've barely researched. So it's either you stop visiting it, or I'm gonna have to personally take it away from you."
Bad tried to choke back tears. "But...but Skeppy I love him. He needs me."
"But you love me. So if you don't stop visiting Halo, then I'm breaking up with you."
Bad looked up at Skeppy frantically. "What?! Skeppy no I-"
"It's for your own good Bad. I don't want to lose you." Skeppy opened the door and left.
Bad sat back down and sobbed quietly, hugging his knees in close as he waited for Skeppy to come back.

Dream sighed as he waited for his coffee to pour. The machine ran and quickly filled up the mug. Dream picked it up and turned.
"SHIT!"
Dream dropped his mug and it shattered all over the floor, creating a pool of coffee. Dream looked down at the puddle then back up, at the subject in front of him. The black and white-haired boy stepped back quietly and held his arms while looking down at the ground. Dream continued to stare at him.
Geez, he's tall.
Dream cleared his throat. "I don't know if you can understand me, but I'm sorry I scared you. Actually, you uh...you kind of scared me first." Dream bent down and picked up the loose pieces of the shattered mug.
The two-toned skin subject looked at Dream as he threw the broken mug away. Dream turned to face him and looked down at his clothes. He realized he wasn't wearing a safety suit.
"You're one of the second-floor subjects, aren't you? You can teleport." Dream slowly stepped forwards.
The creature nodded quickly and back up further.
"It's okay, I won't hurt you." Dream reassured.
The subject looked Dream in the eyes. Dream held back his awe. "You have two fully different colored eyes."
The subject nodded again and looked down at his arm. Dream looked too.
"Oh, you're bleeding." Dream paused and pinched himself to check if this was real. "You...you need help." Dream held out his hand. The black and white-skinned subject winced and disappeared, leaving a strange purple particle cloud behind.
Dream looked at the space that the subject once stood.
How am I gonna explain this to Skeppy?
