TW: Mentions of flashing lights, blood.

Dream whistled as he slipped his suit on. He stepped into the decontamination room and waited for the door to open. He walked inside and dimmed the blue lights, which he resorted to doing after many times he's been blinded by the regular white light.

Dream turned to the cells. He saw all three subjects in their rooms, either sleeping or messing around. Well, except for George. As usual, he was invisible.

Dream sighed and decided to go into his cell. He closed the door behind him and turned to face George, now sitting in the corner hugging his knees.

Dream stepped forwards slowly and sat down in front of him. "Hi George. It's me, Dream again." Dream reached his gloved hand out. George looked at Dream, then at his hand. He slowly leaned forwards and held his hand.

"D-Dream."

Dream's face lit up. "Yes, yes that's me. Can you understand me?"

George looked Dream in the eyes and nodded. Dream smiled. "Okay, can you tell me something about yourself?"

George looked at the wall. He stared for a minute then turned back to Dream. "Eyes."

Dream tilted his head. "Eyes?"

George nodded and pointed to his glasses on his head. "E-Eyes."

Dream thought for a moment.

"His name is George Davidson, and he worked as an optometrist before he was affected."

"You remember being an optometrist?"

George smiled and nodded. Dream sighed. "Good. We're getting you back."

George let go of Dream's hand. He looked up at the lights and pointed to them. "You h-hurt?"

Dream looked at the dimmed blue lights then back at George. "The lights? Oh...yeah. I don't really know, I get affected easily by bright lights for some reason. But before I came here..."

Dream struggled to get a memory. "Before I came...I don't, really, remember?"

The lights turned off. Dream swiveled around in the pitch-black darkness. "HELLO?!" He shouted.

The lights flashed back on, blinding Dream with bright white light. "GAH!" Dream covered his eyes and turned to face George. Red. He saw red.

Dream leaned over George frantically as blood was spilling out of his torso. "GEORGE!" Dream picked George up and held him close. "George you're bleeding! What- what happened?!" Dream tried to put pressure on his stomach and stained his hands with blood.

George slowly opened his eyes and turned his head to face Dream. "N-Not..."

Dream looked at George in the eyes.

George struggled to say the words. "N-Not...safe."

Dream breathed heavily and looked at George confused. George closed his eyes and rested his head again.

"NO! No no no no no no no NO! GEORGE STAY WITH ME!" Dream panicked as he set down George's limp body. He held up his hands and looked at his blood-stained fingers. "Not safe?!"

"Dream? D-Dream?"

Dream broke his gaze and snapped back to reality. George gently shook him by the shoulders.

"George?! Are you okay?! Are you hurt?!" Dream panicked and checked to see if there was blood. He looked around. The lights were the same. The white floor was still white. Dream huffed in confusion. "W-What?"

He turned back to George, who was now backed up against the wall. He held out his hand towards George. George winced and turned invisible.

Dream sighed. He slowly got up and left the cell. He turned to look at George's cell before he left. George flashed for a moment, then dissipated into thin air.

Dream left the containment room and slipped his suit off. He rubbed his eyes and made his way back to his dorm. The door clicked open as he scanned his key card and he walked in. Dream looked around and flopped onto his bed.

"Well, you don't look too well."

Dream jumped and frantically looked around his dorm. "What the hell?! Where are you?"

Eret stepped out of the shadows and chuckled. "Sorry, didn't mean to jump scare you."

Dream frowned. "What the hell are you doing in my dorm?!"

Eret held his hands up. "Hey, hey, don't get mad at me. I was jumping through portals and ended up here, at the very moment you walked in."

Dream groaned and rubbed his face. "Can you please leave, then?"

"Sure, but don't you want to know the truth about this place?"

Dream picked his head up. "The truth?"

"Yeah, I can tell you've been a bit squirmish."

Dream rolled his eyes. "I don't need help, thanks. It's just that I need time to get adjusted to this place."

Eret shrugged. "Whatever you say, Dream. Don't come to me when you've gone insane though." Eret walked back into the shadows and disappeared.

Dream sighed and flopped back onto the bed. "I sure feel like that now."
