!!TW!!: Panic attacks, suffocating

It had been three months. 90 days since the incident.

Eret, Techno, Tommy, Tubbo, and Ranboo had moved to a new area in another forest somewhere.

Skeppy and Halo decided to go on a road trip vacation together, suggested by Halo to get Skeppy's mind distracted for a while.

Dream and Sapnap moved to an apartment provided by Dream's mom, who was so happy to finally see her son again that she baked an entire three-tiered cake in under 3 hours to celebrate.

And the world was okay. It was finally at rest for the moment, and government authorities shut down the Altre Research Foundation and Helios behind it.

Niki never found her mom and dad. She only managed to reunite with her little sister, which meant the world to her.

Out of all these people, Dream felt the most heartbroken. Even after three months of being separated from George, he still dreamt of him every night, and could never talk about him without completely breaking down. Sapnap cursed at himself every day for not making his best friend feel better, he felt as if he was failing him.

Karl and George were living together and were happy, but George couldn't help but feeling down every time Karl wanted to talk about his past. Leaving Dream was a hard thing to do, but George couldn't process his emotions at that time. He didn't know what to feel after Dream told him he loved him because George never got his memories back, he could only live on his memories at the Altre foundation, which wasn't pleasant.

"George there's a cool beer place that just opened in the main square, and I was thinking we could check it out!"

Karl walked into the kitchen and sat next to George, smiling. George rolled his eyes. "You know-"

"- you don't like beer, I know. But this was all an elaborate excuse to get your memories back! Let's do it! It'll be so fun."

"Karl, for the last time, they aren't coming back. There's no point in trying."

Karl stood up and pointed to his outfit. "Why do you think I'm dressed up like this? Huh? I didn't buy this 7 dollar sweater at Goodwill just to sit at home all day!"

George scoffed. "Fine. I wouldn't want to disappoint my best friend and his new sweater."

Karl giggled happily and the two went out into town. George looked around at the familiar surroundings and was happy that he finally had a place to call home. Sure, hiding his powers from everyone but Karl was hard, but George couldn't ask for more. He was surprised to find that he managed to remember who Karl was, even though the rest of his memories were hazy.

"Anything clicking yet?" Karl wrapped an arm around George's.

George shook his head. "No."

Karl sighed in disappointment.

"I mean, do I even want my memories back anyway?" George looked at Karl. Karl frowned.

"Of course you do. Don't you?"

George and Karl made their way to a bench and sat down, the old wood creaking from hearing years of conversations discussed on it.

"I don't know. What if my old life wasn't all that great? What if some really bad thing happened, and now I'm happy because I forgot it? What if..."

"What if you and Dream were together before?" Karl asked. He shifted around and propped his legs up into crisscross. "George, of course, there's going to be sad memories. Everyone has them. But you want them back for the happy ones. So you can savor at the moment when you talk to an old friend and recall all those times together. So you can know how you truly feel about Dream."
