"Day 7 of mister sadness and doom and gloom." Sapnap pulled the curtains open and let the golden afternoon sunlight pour in.
Dream groaned and pulled his comforter closer to his face.
Sapnap sighed and sat down next to Dream, looking at his turned back. "C'mon, get up." Sapnap tugged Dream's foot.
"Mmm." Dream kicked at Sapnap.
"Dream, you haven't eaten all day. We even made pizza. You said you love pizza." Sapnap shook Dream's leg.
Dream stared at the wall as a tear fell from his right eye and crossed the bridge of his nose, clinging on until eventually, it landed on the tussled gray bed sheets.
"What if I don't want to eat."
Sapnap rolled his eyes. He got up and left the room, causing Dream to lift his head in curiosity. The door opened again and Dream quickly lay his head down and stared back at the wall.
Sapnap sat back onto the bed and carefully balanced the plate on his hand, making sure to not set it on fire. He leaned over and waved his arm over Dream, moving the plate precariously. Dream caught a whiff of the scent and raised his nose ever so slightly.
Sapnap smirked. He took the plate back, letting out a huge sigh. "Alright then, I guess I'll just eat this hot, tasty, yummy, savory, EXTRA cheesy pizza-"
"WAIT NO NO NO!" Dream sprung upwards and snatched the plate from Sapnap. He quickly took a bite and glared at Sapnap but immediately looked at the pizza in pleasure. He took another bite and melted in the joy of flavor.
Sapnap chuckled at Dream's antics. "So, what were you saying about not wanting to eat?"
Dream rolled his eyes. He took another bite and aimlessly looked around the room, his gaze landing on a pair of white-rimmed sunglasses.
"Is it nice, in color?"
"It is. But I'm sure what you're seeing is just as pretty."
"It's yellow and brown, Dream. How could that be pretty?"
"You make it pretty, George."
Dream broke his gaze at the sunglasses and blinked hard in an attempt to push away the tears. He looked down at his pizza getting colder by the minute.
"Yeah, it kind of gets lamer with every bite. C'mon, let's go outside. Today's the day!"
Sapnap hopped off the bed and skipped out the door. Dream sat numbly on the side of his bed, eventually pushing himself to get up. Sapnap had been determined to get his memories back ever since he found out a couple of days after George left that Dream had. Dream was happy that Sapnap was so excited, and thinking back to all his newly regained memories of him and Dream together made Dream feel slightly better.
Dream went out the back door and walked around the porch to his and Sapnap's favorite grassy spot.
Dream sat himself down as Sapnap squirmed around in excitement. At soon as Dream made himself comfortable Sapnap cooled down his hands, grabbed Dream's, and jumped them to a memory.
Dream blinked rapidly and looked at Sapnap whose eyes were cooling down from the use of his powers, turning from a hot white glow to his normal sapphire eyes. "Dude why did you take us to a memory?"
Sapnap shrugged. "Us talking isn't working. I thought maybe going to one of your memories could trigger mine."
The two best friends looked at their surroundings; they were in a school hallway. The click of a door opening caused them to glance at the classroom next to them. Kids were flooding out of the classroom, all at least 10 years old and dressed in matching uniforms.
