Dream whistled as he made his way back to the research lab. A week had passed since he met Eret, and things were going normal for him. He wanted to go into the containment room every day, but Bad only let him in once after the first time he went. The smell of stale air and hot coffee from his mug mixed in the air.

"Hi Skeppy." Dream entered the lab and sat down at his station.

"Hi Dream. Have you seen Bad lately? He didn't come in yesterday or today." Skeppy tapped on the desk with his pencil.

Dream shook his head. "No actually, I was going to ask you if we could check out the containment room since Bad isn't here."

Skeppy paused for a moment. "Um...sure. I s'pose it wouldn't hurt."

Dream smiled and started walking with Skeppy to the Subject rooms. "Hey, why am I not allowed to go in there by myself anyway?"

Skeppy sighed. "Honestly, I don't really know. The Altre Facility has some weird rule that you have to go through a week of work before getting a pass to the containment cells."

Dream nodded. "Hey, why haven't I seen any other employees besides you, Bad, and Eret?"

Skeppy looked at Dream quizzically. "Who's Eret?"

"The shadow guy who works here." Dream confusedly smiled.

"Oh, I don't know. He must work in another lab. Most of the time you won't see other employees because they have their own schedules and different subjects to work on. You, me, and Bad are in charge of the three patients you saw when you first came here."

Skeppy unlocked the room and grabbed a hazmat suit, Dream following.

The blue lights came on and Skeppy quickly turned them off, a slightly panicked looked on his face fading away after the white lights came on. Dream looked at each of the cells with the same curiosity he had when he first started.

Sapnap was peacefully sleeping on the floor. Well, if you call sleeping in a circle of flames peaceful. Dream walked over to the room with the two teenage boys. The blond one was sleeping, while the brown-headed one grew a purple flower from his hand and placed it in front of Dream. Dream smiled.

"I hope we find a cure for all these patients. This boy seems kind." Dream smiled at the brown-headed boy and watched as it returned to the other boy and rested his head on the taller boy's shoulder.

Skeppy smiled. "Me too. Bad and I are having a hard time getting our third patient to comply with our testings though."

Dream looked at the third cell and walked over. As usual, George was invisible. Dream looked at Skeppy. "Can't we just call him by his name? George?"

Skeppy shrugged. "Sure. The Facility won't mind I guess."

Dream watched George fade back into sight and sit down in the back corner.

"Am I allowed to go inside?" Dream asked Skeppy.

Skeppy hesitated. "I don't know...only for a few minutes. Who knows if Bad will walk in."

Dream nodded and the glass hatch opened. He stepped inside and the hatch immediately closed behind him. George hugged himself further back into the wall.

Dream squatted and held out his hand. "It's okay. I won't hurt you. My name is Dream. Hello George."

George turned invisible again. Dream looked around for him. George appeared behind Dream. Dream turned around and sat down. "I'm only here to help you, George."

George hesitated. He slowly walked towards Dream and reached out to his hand. Dream smiled.

George held his hand and smiled. "G-George."

Skeppy widened his eyes. "DID HE JUST SAY A WORD?"

George quickly looked at Skeppy and turned invisible again.

Dream sighed. "Yeah, he did."

Dream stepped out of the containment room and into the decontamination airlock and back out into the hallway with Skeppy.

Skeppy laughed. "You are gonna have to write a huge Subject log today, none of our subjects have been able to regain memory or verbally speak yet."

Dream nodded.

"Well, since Bad isn't here for some reason, how bout I show you the rest of the Facility?"
