"AHHH!"
"Dream! Dream help!"
"WHAT THE HELL-"
"TUBBO DON'T LET GO!"
"HEH? TOMMY?"
"Gee you guys are certainly not suited for shadow traveling." Eret dusted his shirt off and looked back at the group.
"Dream, getting used to this yet?" Eret smiled at Dream clutching his chest.
"Nope, still as terrible as the first time." Dream coughed and looked around.
"YOU FUCK YOU LET GO OF MY HAND-"
"I DID NOT YOU DID! I WAS HOLDING ON FOR DEAR LIFE-"
Tommy chased Tubbo angrily around the house, Tubbo shouting in surprise.
Eret chuckled.
"Phew! That was very...um..." Wilbur gripped his stomach and gagged. "Eret do you have a bathroom somewhere-"
Eret nodded to the left. "Two doors down that hallway."
Wilbur smiled weakly and scrambled to the bathroom, slamming the door. Eret grimaced as he heard the retching sounds emerge.
"Where are we?" Fundy looked around at the multicolored rooms.
"My house. It's basically in the middle of nowhere." Eret glanced around his familiar surroundings.
"Are you sure?" Dream peaked through the blinds at the never-ending fields of dry and dead grass.
"Certain. I moved here ever since I found out I could shadow travel, and ever since I found out Helios took my memory."
Fundy perked up at the familiar name. "Helios?"
Eret nodded. "Those little bastards. They built the Altre Research Foundation just so they could suck the life out of subjects. Even going as far as making their own."
"They...they made, subjects?" Dream asked.
Eret nodded again. He paused. "That's...that's how they made me."
Dream lifted his eyebrows. "They took you? They gave you these powers?"
"Yeah. They wiped my memory and tested on me hundreds of times. Needles everywhere."
Dream frowned. "Eret, I'm so sorry."
Eret shrugged. "I can't fix it now. There's no use in mourning."
Dream nodded and stared at nothing for a moment. He looked back to Eret. "Eret, did you say you got your memories back?"
Eret thought for a moment. "I can bring yours back if you want-"
"YES, YES- I mean, yes. I would really appreciate that." Dream cleared his throat and glanced at George.
"Ok. But are you sure? Do you want to know what Helios did to you?" Eret asked.
Dream took a breath. "Yes. I just want my memories back. And...do you think it could work for subjects?"
Eret looked at George and Sapnap. "There's a chance it could work for Sapnap. He already has the ability to see memories and he's communicating with you."
Sapnap jumped up next to Dream. "Dreamy! Hi friend."
"Looks like he's aware of you two being friends. That's a plus." Eret smiled at Sapnap.
Dream sighed in relief. "That'd be really, really nice. What about George?"
Eret clicked his tongue and shrugged slightly. "George might be a bit...difficult. He's barely receptive of anything and it looks like he can speak but bringing his memories back could be hard, he doesn't even remember his own identity."
Dream nodded slowly. "Oh...ok."
Eret looked at the teenage boys chasing each other. "But the boys- they don't need any help. Looks like they faked being unresponsive so they could trick Helios into thinking they already had amnesia. Smart."
"I'm not staying here." Techno pushed past Dream and Eret and headed towards the door.
"Woah Woah Woah Woah wait. You can't leave." Eret stepped in front of Techno.
Techno scoffed. "I am."
"No, there are hundreds of guards searching for you. For all of us. We HAVE to hide here."
"I can take them. Move." Techno walked to the side, Eret blocking him again.
"I said, move." Techno glared at Eret.
"I know that you're not that stupid to go outside, Techno," Eret replied coldly.
Techno paused, staring down Eret. He finally broke his stare and rolled his eyes, walking away and sitting down.
Eret sighed and turned back to Dream. "Let's eat first. Then we can plan."
