Dean's POV
It's Monday today. The day of anticipation. The day when I will know if my search for my little sister is over or not. Even though my heart knows the result I need a proof to convince my mind.
It has been a week since I gave samples to Hannah's friend and she called yesterday that the results are ready. This whole week has been the worst week of my life. I couldn't sleep or eat properly out of anxiety.
I went to church yesterday but for the first time I didn't know what to pray for because a negative result will break my heart and positive result might break my family. I've never felt so helpless before.
Oliver came to my house on saturday for dinner when I had a chance to talk to him about Alyssha and get to know more about her. I haven't told him anything about us having a sister or my suspicion of Alyssha being our sister but I just wanted to know about her.
Flashback
We have just settled down in the living room after dinner and I put on some random news channel on the TV.
"So brother, tell me something about Alyssha." I say still looking at the TV.
"You are really interested in her a lot. Aren't you Dean?" He jokes, nudging my shoulder lightly and I glare at him. I know what he is trying to do but he ignores my glare and turns towards Hannah.
"You might have to tighten your lace on him. I mean you should have seen the way he was looking at her during the weekend." He looks at Hannah and wiggles his eyebrows at her.
"I know who Alyssha is and I know he sees her as a sister." Hannah shrugs her shoulders like it's not a big deal which makes him huff in annoyance and i laugh at his antics.
"You guys are no fun. I was seriously hoping for some fun drama." He whines which makes Hannah and I just laugh even more.
This is the first time I have laughed in a week thanks to my little brother. Hannah looks at me and smiles in satisfaction.
"But seriously I really want to know about her." I say sincerely.
"Well as you know she is brought up in an orphanage in LA. I met her during our first semester in university. At first I didn't have a chance to talk to her but I knew that she was known as the untouchable badass nerd of the university. I had heard that she had already beaten five boys within the first month of the semester only because they tried to flirt with her so I decided to stay far away from her." He chuckles and I also laugh.
"I don't doubt that after seeing what she did to Lockwood and Zack. She was like a completely different Alyssha than the one I saw all weekend." I smile at the memory. I know I didn't talk to her much during the weekend but I observed her a lot and I loved both of her sides.
"First time I talked to her was when we were put together for the assignment and I was so surprised to know that she was only sixteen while doing two full time courses with a full ride scholarship. I felt a weird pull towards her but what confused me more was that it was not romantic type but more like sister type? Seriously that was so weird because I never felt like that for any girl before." I look at him and he has that dreamy smile on his face that shows how much he loves her.
"At first she tried her best to ignore me because she didn't want to make friends. She had seen many people leaving her so she had her walls build up very high and she was very determined to not let anyone in her life but I didn't give up. Gradually we got closer and became really good friends and the whole university was surprised that I didn't get beaten for talking to her. Hell even I was surprised too." He says laughing and Hannah and I joined him.
