Alyssha's POV

"Princess, that's Marco Smith and Charlotte Smith. Our grandparents." My body stiffens as I find them looking at me intently.

"Umm..hi?" I uncomfortably greet them as I don't even know what they want from me. Do they actually want to see me out of love or maybe because they also want to accuse me just like them? But my brothers won't let that happen, right?

But I soon get engulfed in a motherly hug and all my queries and doubts vanish in thin air. I feel wetness on my shoulder. Is she crying? I slowly wrap my arms around her and rub her back to soothe her. She gently breaks the hug and looks at me with her teary eyes that are full of love and adoration.

"Oh my god, Dean!!! You were right. She is really gorgeous." She is gushing like a five year old child.

"Umm.. thank you, Mrs. Smith." I blush at her compliment but she frowns.

"No, my love. Families don't do formalities. Call me grandma or granny or whatever other name there is for grandmother." Her words bring some joyful tears in my eyes but I stop myself from crying. I don't want to ruin my makeup now. I hug her tight.

"Thank you so much granny." I whisper as I hide my face in her neck.

"No need to thank me, my child. You are as much of my family as these two idiots or any other of my grandchildren. In fact you are a little more important than them. We owe you twenty three years of love and pampering after all." I can hear guilt in her voice.

"Yeah we can feel the love." My both brothers frown at which grandma laughs.

"And this hug has compensated for everything we have missed. I promise." And I truly mean it. Her embrace is as loving and safe as Mrs. Clark and I can't be happier to have their acceptance.

"You are too beautiful to cry, granny." I say as I wipe her tears away.

"Now don't keep her all for yourself and let me love my granddaughter too." I hear a deep voice from behind granny. I look over her shoulder and find my grandpa looking at with a warm smile and love in his eyes.

"Come here, princess. Come to your grandpa." He widens his arms and invites me to go to him. I also don't waste any time and run to him. I wrap my arms around his torso and bury my head in his chest. He also wraps his arms around my head and kisses on top of it.

"I love you already, little one." He mumbles and tightens his hold on me.

"Love you too, grandpa and thank you for accepting me as your family."

"There is nothing to thank, my little chipmunk. You were, are and always will be my family and no one can change that fact. Not even that idiot son of mine." He says the last few words with a bit of a distaste.

"Can we not go there please? I just want to enjoy the moment we have right now." They both nod, giving me their beautiful smile.

"We are really proud of you, princess and may god bless you with more and more success and happiness."

"Thank you so much. Ever since I remember, I have always wanted to hear these words from my parents. Maybe I am not lucky enough to fulfil my that dream but hearing it from you is no less important either." I say kissing both of their cheeks.
