Damian's POV

I had so much fun today. I came here before with my friends as well but this time it was different. I had my best friend, my love, my baby girl with me. Now I am sitting away from her because Oliver took my place away. He would just smirk at me whenever I glare at him. Asshole!!!

There is only one place left next to Maya so I sit there and I give her a smile. We start talking about our old time and funny memories we have had together and we are just laughing at that. She asks me if I can get her a beer so I go to the kitchen to get one for her.

I am taking the beer out of the fridge and I feel arms wrapped around me from the back and they definitely don't belong to my baby girl so turn around and see Maya hugging me. I try to take them away but she holds me even more tight.

"What are you doing Maya?" I ask her, keeping my anger at bay.

"I miss you. I want you back Damian."

"What do you mean? You do have me as a friend, don't you?" But she shakes her head and I see tears running down her eyes. I let her cry for a while and wait for her explanation. She is crying really hard and I am concerned for her. After a few minutes she sobers up and starts talking.

"No. Not as just a friend, Damian. I want to have you like old times." She sobs a little before continuing. "I love you Damian. I always have." I cup her cheeks and wipe some tears

"Sweetheart, I like you too. In fact I love you too. You are a very nice, beautiful and strong girl and do not deny that." I am about to talk further and I hear soft gasp. I look up and see Alyssha looking at us wide eyes and hands over her mouth. I realize I close I am standing to Maya and I immediately step back

Ohh shit!! I don't know how much she heard or saw.

I can't have any misunderstanding between us. I can't let everything end before it even starts.

I start walking towards her but she runs outside and Maya steps in front of me.

"Not now Maya. We will talk about this later."

"Why. You said you like me then why are going behind her?" She asks desperately.

I want to answer her here but I have to go to Alyssha and clear everything out first. I don't want her to get angry as that will be very hard to handle.

"As a friend, Maya. I like you only as a friend. Now we will talk later if you want." I say firmly and walk towards Alyssha but I see her entering the house and to my utter surprise, she is crying?

No... No..No.. this is not a good sign.

I think she has been crying for a while and her eyes are blood red. I don't know why she is reacting this way as she is a strong person and it's probably the first time I have seen her crying.

She looks at me briefly and tries to smile.

"I... think something got into my eyes. I will be fine once I wash them." She says while trying to sound confident but I know her voice is cracking.

I can't let this happen and I have to clear everything out. I stand there confused about what to do. After some brainstorming, I decide to go and talk to her and clear out everything.

I walk towards her room with determination but a hand on my shoulder stops me. I turn around and see Oliver standing there looking at me with concern and Maya is gone.

"Did something happen between you two? She was crying." He sounds very concerned.

I sigh "She saw me hugging Maya when she was confessing her love to me. Alyssha heard only part of our conversation but It will be fine once I talk to her and explain everything." I assure him.
