"What do you want?" Alex demanded.

Zeke shrugged as he began to circle the three of us. "Well, I had an actual purpose in coming here, but you know, thrashing that bastard sounds like more fun at the moment."

"You're the bastard, Zeke!" I looked over at Jake as he shouted back at him. Zeke stopped right in front of us causing Alex to motion in front of me.

"Clearly you've forgotten what he did to me." Reverting his eyes down at me, he gave me a dirty look. "I'm sure you wouldn't want her knowing. Should I tell her, or would you like to do the honors?"

"You-" Jake started and Alex instantly attacked Zeke catching him off guard and kicking him up against the wall.

Alex pressed his arm up against his neck. Zeke began to push him away, but he held his ground. "Jake, get her out of here, NOW!" He yelled out causing both of us to jump. Hesitating, Jake took a hold of my hand and pulled me out the door.

Before I realized it, I ended up pulling Jake back. "What are you doing? Let's go!" He pulled my arm again, but I just pulled it away.

"I can't leave."

"Are you crazy?" He started to grow angry as he snarled at me. "You damn well what will happen if you stay." He took my wrist again with a much tighter grip pulling me forward.

I winced at the pain, and tried pushing his hand away from mine. "Jake, let go of me! I have to-"

He turned around and straight up slapped me across the face. My cheek burned and before I could react, he started pulling my arm forward again. "Enough already, dammit. Going back now would only cause Alex distractions, and do you really want Zeke to get inside your head again?"

For a while, I just followed along quietly, thinking. He's right, if I went back, I'd only end up causing trouble for Alex, but about Zeke...was he really just saying all that to get inside my head, or have I really been blind this whole time? Jake came to a sudden stop and I came crashing into him. "Hey, why'd you stop?"

Looking past him, Zeke stood there in front of us. Only one word raced inside my head the instant I saw him...Alex.

"You managed to get pretty far, but it was wasted on you anyways."

"What did you do to Alex?" I shouted out without even thinking. Before I knew it, he was already giving an answer.

"Let's just say, he's just waiting for us to arrive." What is that supposed to mean? "Now, let's play a game, shall we?"

Jake's voice rose, even angrier than before. "Quit messing with us!"

"Look at you, acting all tough now. Back then all you could do was sit and watch like a little baby." I was pushed back by Jake. Zeke only smiled brighter with each step we took. "Running away won't help you escape one bit." With a snap of his fingers, our legs were suddenly wrapped in chains. I screamed and lost my balance falling to the floor. As my hands hit the ground, they became wrapped in chains as well. Jake managed to keep his balance as he tried pulling away.

I struggled frantically, desperately. "What the hell is this?" I heard Jake shout out as I looked up. Zeke approached us and we were both unable to run away.

He stopped inches away from Jake, putting them face to face. Zeke brought his hand up next to his ear. "The game is about to begin." And with a snap of his fingers, we were suddenly engulfed in darkness.
