I stood to my feet unable to sit still any longer. Going to the bathroom, I stared back at myself in the mirror. The chain was shrouded in black, and the area around it was stained red. It looked as if I was already suffocating, yet I couldn't feel this painful look. Actually seeing this around my neck with my own eyes only made it more terrifying.

Turning the faucet on, I bowed my head. Cupping water into my hands I splashed it on my face. That freezing water cooled my face down. My body began relaxing a little more with each puddle I covered my face in. I stared at the sink for a while, just watching the water drip from my face. Pushing my hair back, I took a deep breath inhaling in, and exhaling out. My body jumped when I heard the door slam behind me. Quickly looking back, I looked the door up and down. Suddenly, that relaxation in my body disappeared.

Walking over, I reached for the door knob and turned. It wouldn't even budge. I began pulling on the door harder. The door still kept its place. Wrapping my other hand around it, I started tugging at it desperately. Dammit, open! "Open up!" I shouted to myself.

A maniacal laugh echoed from behind me. This voice... "Aren't you just so cute!" Zander was just enjoying this.

Closing my eyes, my lips quivered. "Why?" My voice went from a whisper to a roar. "WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS!?" As I turned around, I was instantly pinned against the wall.

Zander's face gleamed with annoyance, one in which I've never seen until now. "Don't get demanding with me. Or have you already forgotten? You belong to me!"

"I don't belong to anyone! The only one I'll ever gladly give myself over to is Alex!" The words spilled out of my mouth. My voice cracked every few words from the fear rising in my body.

"Too bad that bastard isn't here to claim you himself." Zander's smirk spread from ear to ear and he lifted my chin up. "With this chain, no matter where you run, I'll find you. You can't escape me, no matter how hard you try."

Thrusting my head to the side, I brought my arms up and attempted to push him away. He took a hold of my wrists holding them out to my sides. "Let go of me!"

"Perhaps I should give you some matching accessories. Like this for example." Zander pulled both of my wrists together and two chains suddenly appeared around them. They looked just like the one around my neck.

Pulling my arms away, I managed to push him back and move to the side. Tugging at the chain on my wrist, I found it useless to remove like the one around my neck. "Take these off me!"

His ever so frightening smirk turned into an even more terrifying frown. I'm only making him angry and with what I've witnessed, I don't even want to imagine what he's like at full throttle.

"I order to stop demanding me around." My body froze, almost as if it were bound by wires. My mouth wouldn't even budge, I couldn't resist. "That's better." Zander placed his lips over mine and I shut my eyes tight. I can't move!

"Serine?" My eyes fell open as I heard Alex's voice from outside the walls.

Zander slowly pulled away, a small laugh escaped him. "Well if it isn't my best friend returning for his precious princess."
