jisung watched riku on the stage, he was definitely talented, but it was so obvious he was just pulling out his hardest tricks to be impressive, with no real flow or routine going on.
seungmin glanced at jisung who smiled and stood up.
he walked towards the stairs on stage and went up as riku came down from the pole, he went towards him, stretching his arms.
"my turn?"
riku nodded and stepped back to the edge of the stage, he looked confident in himself and had a cocky expression on his face, jisung rubbed his hands together to warm them up for grip before looking over at the music booth.
"can someone put my old music on?"
chan sent one of the staff members over immediately, making riku look, he didn't think jisung was going to perform his routine, he thought they were just doing tricks or he would've done better. he rubbed the back of his neck as jisung spun around the pole a few times, getting himself used to it.
the music started and jisung smiled, focusing on remembering his routine, it's not like he couldn't improvise but he had good choreography and he wanted to show it off.
he pulled himself up on the pole and started the routine, picturing an audience to dance to, focusing on his posture and how he held his body, praying he didn't fall or mess up.
felix watched with satisfaction as jisung's choreography got faster and more complex and it got beyond riku's capability. hyeon stared as jisung performed, dragging out each trick to the music, he was in his element when he performed, the tricks that required more flexibility made jisung a little unstable with his grip, he wasn't as natural as he was before but he pulled it off well and covered up any slips well.
chan smiled and clapped as jisung pulled off a particularly hard trick, holding himself up with just his thighs, his hands working to pull his body into a different position.
riku stared, he was impressed, jisung was amazing but he was also slightly annoyed, he didn't know routines were an option or he would've done that. his choreography wasn't as complex as jisung's was, he couldn't do some of the things jisung was doing and that annoyed him.
jisung came down from the pole when the routine ended, smiling as his friends started clapping him, he felt a genuine passion that he had missed so much. he glanced at riku, raising his brow with a cocky smile as he walked towards the stairs.
"that was amazing jisung, you're still so talented, even without performing for weeks." chan ruffled jisung's hair proudly.
seungmin was next up and he started practicing a few things on the pole as riku came offstage too, standing with hyeon.
"sung, did you see his face?!" jeongin laughed, hugging jisung from behind.
felix came over with hyunjin, both of them smiling at jisung as they watched seungmin.
"that was great sungie." felix smiled, slinging his arm over jisung's shoulders.
"thank you lixie."
"hey, watch this." felix whispered.
jisung looked at him.
"hyung?" he looked at chan.
"yes felix?"
"i have a few things i want to add to my premium dance routine, can i have someone to practice on?"
"mhm, go get a staff member."
jisung realised what felix was doing when he went to the bar, disappearing behind it.
