they both stayed silent for a moment, chan looked at jisung with slight intensity, jisung shifted a little, trying to think of something to say. the atmosphere felt weird.

"w-well i haven't done that with anyone at the club..."

"would you?"

jisung looked up at chan, once again lost for words. he couldn't explain it, there was some kind of tension filling the room, chan looked at jisung in the eyes, waiting for a reply.

"wh-who would i even-"

"another dancer? a member of staff? a... member of management?"

there could be no way chan was referring to himself, he was the only member of management that lived at the club, the others worked outside the club and had separate accommodation. jisung was confused, he didn't know what to say, all he could think about was chan's words... was he suggesting something?

"what would happen if i did...?"

"i don't know, you're not an employee so in some ways the rule doesn't apply to you... and it depends who you chose to sleep with."

jisung tilted his head ever so slightly, looking at chan. his stare felt heavy but his eyes were soft. jisung had no idea what was going on.

"w-would you react differently d-depending on who it was?"

he couldn't explain why he felt so flustered, why his cheeks were red or why he was stuttering.

chan just nodded, not giving a verbal reply.

jisung was trying to understand where chan was going with this without outright asking him if chan was implying he wouldn't mind if jisung hooked up with him.

"i-i..."

"i'm the one that made the no sex rule. i'd be allowed to break it."

after speaking chan stood up, walking to the kitchen, leaving jisung totally speechless. if he didn't already think chan was being very direct he definitely did now.

he watched chan disappear into the kitchen. he shook his head a little, trying to think properly. he looked up as chan came back with two glasses of water, a slightly amused look in his eye.

"here, drink."

jisung nodded softly and took the glass.

"thank you."

chan sat back down, sipping water from his own glass. the silence felt a lot louder now.

"how did the private dance go with mr park?"

jisung tried to shake off what happened before.

"it went well."

"i could see him getting flirty with you after the dance finished."

"y-you could see?"

"i watched to make sure he respected the rules."

jisung stared at the coffee table, sipping his drink.

"all men here are flirty with dancers."

"that's true. and your little freestyle  on stage in your routine, was that planned?"

"last minute, i wanted to earn more tips than riku."

"understandable. was your sexy look at me planned too?"

jisung looked up, he held his glass tightly.

"i-it was spontaneous."

"you've never done that before, i'm not complaining though."

jisung glanced up at him, he looked so casual, yet somehow his words were affecting jisung a lot.

"i like having you work here."

"why?" jisung asked softly.

"because it means i get a show too."

jisung was taken by surprise again, he wasn't sure what chan meant by anh of this and every sentence sent his head spinning.

"why me? you get to watch all of the dancers whether i'm here or not."

"but they're not quite like you are."

jisung tilted his head.

"wh-what do you mean?"

"why're you stuttering?"

chan dodged his question, confusing jisung more.

"i'm not." he mumbled, trying not to.

"are my words having an effect on you, hm?"

jisung gulped softly, looking at his water in the glass. was he that obvious? he didn't even know why he felt so tense and flustered.

"n-no."

"don't lie, they are aren't they?"

"i-"

"don't tell me your mind has drifted elsewhere." chan spoke with a smirk.

jisung shifted slightly. chan leaned over and took his drink out of his hand and put it with his own on the coffee table, facing jisung and coming slightly closer.

jisung looked up at him, having absolutely no clue what was happening or where this was going.

"are you taking my words out of context jisung?"

jisung shook his head, the look in chan's eye making him feel things.

"i-i'm not."

"then why're you so flustered? what did you think about when i said i could break my own rule?"

jisung didn't know how to reply, it was obvious what he thought about.

"did you imagine breaking that rule with me?"

jisung flushed red, looking at him, going to soeak but shutting himself up since he had no clue what to say.

"aish jisung, it's getting late huh? we should get some sleep."

jisung was still lost for words, was chan really going to send him to bed after that?

"want me to take you back to felix's dorm?"

"i-i can go."

"i don't think so, how do i know you wont try and break another rule? i think i should go with you."

jisung nodded a tiny bit, picking up his glass and finishing the water, he heard chan mumble something but he didn't hear what it was.

he watched chan finish his drink before he stood up, offering his hand to jisung.

he took it and stood up, letting chan walk him towards the door.

as they stood in the elevator, chan looked at him with a slightly amused expression.

"i think it's best we keep that conversation between us."

jisung nodded a little, smiling a tiny bit with red on his cheeks as they stepped out, walking to felix's dorm. jisung put in the code and opened the door.

"sleep well jisung."

"y-you too hyung."

jisung closed the door, taking a deep breath.

"what the hell just happened?" he mumbled under his breath.

he walked through to the bedroom, slipping in next to felix who was still sleeping peacefully. he lay back against the bed, thinking about the interaction he just had, was chan really being so direct and bold? that had never happened before, the conversations between chan and jisung had only ever been professional. he replayed chan's words in his head.

"i'm the one that made the no sex rule, i'd be allowed to break it."
