Moments before this happened, Reki was testing out his newly built board to see where it needed improvements. That's when He noticed (y/n) looking in his direction. Thinking that this person was interested in what he was doing, he wanted to impress them with the new trick he had recently mastered.
"You can do this Reki! Impress them with your talent!", Reki said to himself as he prepared to do his trick on top of the ramp. As he was about to go down, he noticed the stranger skating away.
"HEY WAIT!", he shouted as he unknowingly moved his foot off the board which caused it to roll Infront of the (y/n)'s path. Reki let out a sigh of relief for they would simply go around it but that's when he noticed that they were looking up and hadn't realized the skateboard in front of them.
"WATCH OUT!", He yelled in hopes of alerting them but it was too late. The damage has been done, the stranger fell forward and they fell hard.
Reki ran to check the damage he'd done and saw a puddle of water forming under them.
"Are you okay?", He asked, since (Y/n) started muttering something.
"am I okay? Do I look okay to you!", (Y/n) cried out as they picked themselves up which made Reki see that they were crying their eye's out and that their face was covered with dirt, "I GOT UP AT 6 IN THE MORNING IN HOPES TO SEE THE BEACH BUT MAGI WASN'T IN THE MOOD TO TAKE ME! SO I WENT ALONG AND HALfWAY I REALIZED I WAS LOST AND DIDN'T HAVE MY PHONE! SO I FOLLOWED A SEAGULL IN HOES TO GET TO THE BEACH BUT NOOOO! I TRIPPED ON A DUMB SKATEBOARD AND FELL ON MY FACE! I AM TIRED! MY FEET HURT FROM SKATING FOR HOURS! ¡Vete a la mierda mundo! ¡Hoy es un día de Mierda! ....I just wanted to visit the beach".
'Crap, what do I do! They are yelling at me in English but I failed my English class!', A panicking Reki thought as he tried his best to speak English, " I um I don't speak English! Only Ja- Japanese! ".
"sigh, I'm sorry for yelling at you stranger-chan. Today has just been a shitty day for me", (Y/n) said in Japanese once they realized the other person didn't understand them.
"What happened? And WHO ARE YOU CALLING CHAN!", Reki yelled as he blushed a bit.
"Sorry if I got the honorifics wrong, as you can tell by looking at me I am a foreigner that only knows how to speak basic Japanese. So is it kun, san, sama, dono or yobisute? Which one is it redhead", (y/n) asked as they patted off the dirt on them.
"It's not redhead! My name is REKI! And judging by the way you're speaking It be easier if you just call me Reki and now that you mention it ... you do look like a foreigner!", Reki exclaimed as he noticed that (Y/n)'s skin looks super tan and how their eyes were the shape of almonds, "Where are you from!?".
"well Reki, I'm from America. I just moved here cause I ran away from home!", (Y/n) proudly said as they did a thumbs up. Which made Reki yell, "YOU RAN AWAY FROM HOME!"
"no, not really. Though I am lost", (Y/n) said as they rubbed their neck in shame.
"YOU'RE LOST!", Reki said as he was in disbelief, "Why didn't you read a map?".
"I don't know how to read Japanese!", (Y/n) said in a proud voice which caused Reki to yell, "THAT'S NOT SOMETHING TO BE PROUD OF!".
"I left for Japan earlier than I planned, which made me have almost no time to learn how to read. Not only that but I forgot my phone at home so I can't call a taxi to take me to the beach nor home", (Y/n) explained as they got an idea, "How much yen will it be for you to guide me to the beach!".
"no -no I can't accept it!", Reki said as he refused the 10,950 yen ($100) that (y/n) was trying to give him, "I'll take you to the beach but first I need to drop by my house to get some things".
"So you are taking me, a stranger to your house? And you want me to follow you, a stranger to an unknown place?", (y/n) said as they raised an eyebrow at him.
"You do have a point. What's your name?", Reki questioned to which (Y/n) responded with, "(y/N)".
"well then (Y/n), we now know each other's name which doesn't make us strangers now!", Reki said with a smile that was brighter than the sun.
"Pfft, you're an interesting guy Reki! Come one! Lead the way!", (Y/n) said as they followed Reki to his house, 'Ha! It looks like I'm going to be joining you guys up in the sky soon'
