Chapter 17

3rd Person View

The following day, word spread among the Academy that there will be a new student. Usually it wasn't a big deal, but it was said that the new transfer student was either good looking or cute.

In the hallways, Ruby and Lesley were walking around. Class wasn't gonna start for another 15 minutes. So what better way to kill time than to walk around.

"Geez, it wasn't this rowdy when you came." Lesley complained as she looked around. A lot of male students were fixing themselves for the arrival of the new student.

"Well technically I came here unannounced." Ruby tried to explain to her friend. But her efforts were in vain when Lesley wasn't listening. The marksman was irritated at the thought of Gusion trying to make himself stand out.

Though she hasn't told anyone yet that she had somewhat of a crush on Gusion. It started back when they had a movie together.

She had already known that Gusion likes her. She really wanted to tell him that she likes him back but she was just too busy. She had her studies that she needed to focus as well as her brother, Harley.

Lesley's thoughts then were cut off when Ruby shaked her. "LES-LEY! Are you listening?"

The marksman then gave an apologetic smile at Ruby who only pouted.

Just then, as they were walking casually. A group male students began running towards them. Lesley and Ruby began to panic, for they were about to get stampede.

But before the group could reach them, they suddenly all turnes frozen. Ruby and Lesley's eyes widened. They didn't know what had just happened.

"How many times have I said this?! No running in the halls!" A woman then appeared, everything about her was blue except for her skin, which was pale.

The two then recognized the woman and quickly greeted her. "Ms Aurora! Good morning!" the two said in unison.

Aurora then gave the two a cold look. "Head back to your room. This is the 3rd time a froze a group of male student. Goodness... Is getting a new female student really this chaotic...?" Aurora then sighed and began walking away.

Ruby and Lesley then sighed in relief. Aurora was one of the few professors that were strict. When she freezes a student, she doesn't undo it. Instead she leaves them until the ice melts.

The two then turned around and began walking back to their room.

"Well that was close." Ruby said, giggling. Even though it was a little terrifying, it was still a funny experience.

Lesley then rolled her eyes and found it amusing as well. As they were heading back, the two came across a certain assassin.

"Oh! Greetings Ruby and Lesley. I see you two survived a wave there." Gusion greeted the two with an impressed tune.

"Yeah, this new student is really popular." Ruby said as she looked around, still seeing a lot of students waiting for her arrival.

But something caught Lesley's mind. Why wasn't Gusion waiting for the new student. Almost all of the boys they saw were waiting.

Lesley then glared at Gusion. It will be annoying if he suddenly lost interest on her.

Gusion then raised an eyebrow in confusion. "Why're you looking at me like that...?"

Lesley then grabbed him by the collar. Their faces were a few inches away. Ruby who was a spectator began fan girling beside them.

"I'm curious. How come you're not waiting for that new female transfer student?" Lesley asked in a grumpy tone.
