Chapter 23

3rd Person Point of View

"Okay Ruby, we'll leave everything to you 3. You and Guinevere would be sharing a room together, while Natalia stays at the guest room."

"Yes Grandma! Please be careful on your way!" Ruby was really sad to know that her grandparents had to leave.

"Natalia please take care of the children once Guinevere comes home as well."

"Of course! I won't let anything happen to them."

Ruby's Grandparents afterwards said their goodbyes and told them that they would be back in a month.

Once they were gone, Ruby couldn't help but feel lonely again. When was the last time she felt this way? How long has it been since her parents died?

Her depressing thoughts then were interrupted when Natalia placed a hand over her head.

Ruby's eyes drifted beside her and saw Natalia wearing her mother's old blouse and long blue skirt.

"Woah...! You look like my mom! Well except for the face and hair!"

Natalia giggled at Ruby's cute reaction. Her Grandmother was right, the clothes really did fit. It would have been problematic if it didn't. The King really made her job more difficult.

"Let's wait for Guinevere to come, she may arrive anytime." Natalia said. The two agreed to clean the house while waiting. Atleast they had something to do.

"Come on hurry up!" Shouted as he jumped over the fence gate while holding a large bag.

"Not everyone can teleport you know!" Dyrroth didn't know why he agreed on helping Guinevere escape.

"Quiet down idiots! The guards might hear us!" Guinevere said as she ran behind them.

One thing they haven't thought of when they agreed to the plan was how they would get Guinevere's clothing out. It would be too suspicious if she exited through front gates.

Dyrroth then tossed the bag he was carrying to Gusion, who caught it at the other side of the fence with ease.

Guinevere and Dyrroth jumped afterwards and the three ran as fast as they could.

Little did they know that Lancelot was watching them from a window, he couldn't help but chuckle at her sister. He wished them the best that they wouldn't get caught.

After a good three minutes of running, Guinevere and Gusion stopped at a nearby building to catch their breaths.

"L-Let's not. Do that. Again!" Guinevere huffed heavily as it was tiring to run in heels.

"Yeah...." Gusion said as he too was breathing heavily.

Dyrroth stared at them as he wasn't as tired as they were. He was a demon. These things were pretty normal for him. Dyrroth then recalled the time he carried Ruby all over the Abyss. They should do that again sometimes.

"You two done?" Dyrroth asked as he saw Guinevere slowly walking again.

"We should get to the house quickly before anyone sees us." Guinevere was nervous. Her heart was about to explode. And no it wasn't from the fact that they ran for 3 minutes straight.

This was the first time Guinevere had done something crazy. The was literally insane, running away. But this option was better than marrying someone she didn't like. Curse her parents for agreeing without her consent.

Guinevere sighed as they continued heading to Ruby's house.

"I hate this. I hate everything that has happened." Guinevere complained. She really had it rough.
