Chapter 25

3rd Person Point of View

At the house of Paxleys, one of the most powerful families in the Land of dawn, two individuals weren't happy of princess Guinevere's disappearance. Victor Paxley and Elizabeth Paxley, the Duke and Duchess.

(I don't know their names so let's make up one)

"Argh! If I find out that the Baroques are hiding that bitch, then I'll destroy everything they have!" Victor Paxley shouted in anger.

"Calm down honey, give them a few more hours. If they still won't tell where Guinevere is, then we'll destroy everything they have." Elizabeth said, trying to reason with her beloved.

Every soldier around were terrified of the two individuals. No one was able to speak with them without shaking or feel weak. There were times where soldiers couldn't even stand firm when they were around. Of course those who did that will be punished.

The only hope of this family was Gusion and Aamon, their children. But unfortunately Gusion wasn't a fan of his family. So Aamon was left alone to deal with his parents. Luckily they love their children as long as they follow them.

"Where is Aamon? It's getting late, he told us he would be back in an hour." The Duke said. He was getting impatient with his son.

Suddenly, as they were about to send out their men to look for him, Aamon walked through the doors in front of them.

"Father and Mother, I'm home." Aamon bowed to his parents as a sign of respect. Failing to do so will result in consequences even Aamon couldn't withstand.

"FINALLY! Out with it! Have you found Princess Guinevere?" The Duke was hoping his son would say yes, but he couldn't hide his disappointment when Aamon shook his head.

"Forgive me father, but it looks like Guinevere isn't in the House of Baroque." Aamon explained.

"What do you mean Aamon?" Aamon's mother asked.

"I'm afraid the Baroques doesn't know where Guinevere had disappeared of to." Aamon answered.

"Then that bitch was acting alone! Very well! Once we find her, she would have to choose. It's either she accepts the marriage or off with her head!" The Duke commanded.

Aamon didn't like this at all. Gusion and his friends might get involved. And if that girl named 'Ruby' were to be hurt of anyway, the Paxleys might go to war with Abyss.

"Please excuse me for the night, I have other matters to attend to." Aamon said as he bowed to his parents.

"Very well, you are soon to be a duke as well. It's better if you get enough sleep." The Duke said.

Aamon thanked his parents before leaving the room. If you were somebody outside the Paxleys, you would think that his parents were worried about his lack of sleep. But the truth is that they only want Aamon in good health as he would be his parents ticket to gain more power.

"Enough sleep. What a joke. You didn't even care about your youngest child's whereabouts." Aamon scoffed as he wore his hood to hide his presence.

As Aamon left the room, Victor called for one of his trusted assassins.

"Grab some men and follow where Aamon is headed. Only show yourselves if Guinevere Baroque shows up."

Ruby jolted up from her bed and saw Guinevere wearing a nightgown while standing on her door frame.
